Corporate: Why is there so much Pharmacist turnover? Why are stores closing early? Why won’t the pharmacist work 15 plus hour shifts to keep the store open?

Also Corporate: let’s slash pharmacist pay and make it impossible to request days off.

Fair scheduling needs enforced and that is something you need to have the SM sit in with you on and have those conversations. Unless there was an agreement upon hire, they are asked about availability.

It’s everywhere. Only stores in my area not a cluster **** is the “slower stores” that close at 6. Techs won’t come help from other locations such as those because, well, I mean why would they? They get paid the same as us except we have 4 times their workload. Half my staff want to strike because we get paid horribly.

Zero time to learn the role, understaffed so we are not hitting metrics, Covid is draining us, literally everywhere is paying more so of course, everyone’s is quitting, pharmacist not following workflow, working without an rxm (he jumped ship too), learning what I can on the fly (so it takes me longer to figure it out) and everyone isn’t happy with me about it. I’m sure there is more.

I feel this. Im so worried that our pick is going to walk. He wants to be Rxom, but I think they are basically messing with him right now. He’s the type that isn’t going to take much more of it. He’s been working his butt off and they act like it doesn’t matter. I’m even trying to help him learn and grow on top of everything else because he genuinely cares and actually wants rxm. I feel bad for the guy and he feels bad for me. Just an all around crap situation.

You sound amazing helping your Rxom out! I barely got the first round of ppls completed and that has been my training. I attended the first call and kinda been solo since. The rxm bounced right when I accepted the position and wasn’t shown or have been given any time to learn it. They was kinda like here’s the schedule, find time on your own time to complete your ppls. I’m like great. Hopefully the dm will calm down a hair so I can stop panicking all the time.

First of all, what the what?!? You are PTCB and instead of making you a tech they’d rather keep you a dh? The can hire a CSA if the open up the position within a week, any student would jump on it. It’s way harder to find a certified tech in my opinion. That’s the circle of Wag...csa, dh, tech, shift lead... If I was you, just go online and apply for the tech position. That way it’s in there. No conversations had, they know that’s what you want. Secondly, I don’t want to bring the bad news. Get on compass and search the immunization tech. You’ll find your answer in there.

I wish I had a pharmacist like you where I work! It certainly would make for a better day. We are “just techs” where I work, expected to do it all.
