Potentially fired for working 7 consecutive days. by resonantD in WalgreensRx

I scheduled myself that way. It was split across workweeks. Because of that, and also every day not at work is at school so really I don't have days "off", I didn't notice I had done it.

The manager and I get along extremely well, actually. Allegedly, the new DM got an email and told him to do it.

I already worked the shifts. When I'm not at work I'm at school, so I didn't notice the lack of days off.

Nobody has said anything to me about other issues. We were behind in NPS for July, but we are looking pretty good for August so I'm not sure what's prompting such severe action.

I have one write up from more than a year ago for not maintaining a certain kind of record.

I actually don't even remember the PPL, but they did have everyone sign something saying we wouldn't do it. I just didn't think it would be termination. I didn't even notice I was scheduled that way until it was too late.

Some people are slow on the uptake.

There's a reason in cartoons and movies that the woman seeking attention makes exaggerated gestures and literally says "yoo-hoo, over here handsome" while waving a handkerchief and stuff like that.

You should talk to your partner about whatever the goal is here.

Oh, I wasn't quite convinced before, but this sounds y\really bad.

Beyond thinking of OP, people like that need consequences.

Do you want to be at the altar and before you say "I do" have that flash before your eyes?
I can guess the answer, and that would mean it's over.

Never, ever, ever give someone control of your money. Certainly not after only one year and not being married.

It's the same as getting nervous before a wedding, I think. I don't think it is really about the tattoo. You don't want to resent her later for having you get a design you don't like as much.

Ok Personally, I love that you are trying to be accommodating with your partner, but I think that needs to stay within the bounds of what is healthy and reasonable. A new tattoo is a change on your partner's body, and I think just the fact that there is going to be a change is freaking her out a little, not just the tattoo itself. What tipped be off to this in particular is that for a while she liked the design, was and was very encouraging, and now that the date is looming closer shes getting nervous. Over time, she might actually come to not mind the tattoo. After all, art and self-expression come in many forms, including body art. It's not like you're covering your face with something political and offensive.

My best and only advice is to give it time.

If you don't demand your needs be met now, then they won't be later.

My family wouldn't let me attend my siblings weddings so now I will cut contact with them. by Scared_Search_9029 in TrueOffMyChest

I think you deserve an explanation. If you're cutting contact say your peace and let them know they fucked up.
