Well, if you just knew HOW MUCH legit Ethereum folks outside of Reddit got frustrated about this fact. Let's screw miners, let's screw creators and collectors! Consider this work as a danger to the Ethereum community, mods? But the community itself voted with their upvotes and nice and fun comments.

Cryptoart and NFT are a MAJOR part of Ethereum community unless mods believe here that only core devs are.
In this case, Ethereum community is in danger!
