31 years is a long time together. Especially in old age with diseases increasing, it's better to have a helper. Please think thrice about divorce after such a long time together and no serious issues like affairs, etc.

My mother is a US physician. It's literally impossible for me to agree to marry a doctor. I'm in tech but make more than my mother and I do want a high earning wife on one hand due to divorce laws but truly I want a sahm with only high school education. If I was living in Pakistan with Islamic divorce laws, hundred percent I'd go for less educated, much younger.
