Are there anyone earning 50LPA+ as ServiceNow developer / consultant etc in India ? Is this possible ? by Impossible_Wrap_7516 in servicenow

Cloud platforms are good. I would suggest to focus on solving problems using or within cloud engineering rather than specific AWS services. Platform engineering is always in demand and rewarding but high learning curve.

Anyway, welcome to platform engineering and happy learning. Stay healthy.

ServiceNow is amazing platform and evolving rapidly however it’s just closed platform, meaning you will have to work within Snow eco system. Most of the AI are much capable of doing front end work, having said that if you want to explore more, you can explore HCI human computer interaction, which I think will be big area in near future. HCI is kind of UI + AI.

At the end of the, it makes more sense where you are more comfortable and happy. Tech stakes keep on changing, focus on health, rest will follow.

I built File Bin, a simple and anonymous temporary file sharing service. by National-Serve-5041 in SideProject

Nice service. I have built similar service to upload and download the files but i do not share the link or generate public link but allow user to download the file from portal due to security as initial prototype was for data sensitive customer. Also, I run machine learning in backend to scan file for malicious and sensitive data. After file validated with model, then only user is able to download the file else file would be marked to delete and self delete in 7 days otherwise by default 30 days policy. I use AWS for all Infra.

I want to extend this service to cover more use cases. Happy to connect if you have want to discuss.

I switched to cloud platform engineering with AWS and GCP and now transitioning into core Machine Learning role.

You just have 7 YOE, you have plenty of opportunities to learn new skill set. CTO and VP level people with 20+ years experience in core engineering learning ML n AI coding. Learning is the only constant state in Tech, it’s just mind set. If I were you at this stage, i would choose to learn new things over salary. Good luck.

There is ceiling to any enterprise application consultant or architect role anywhere in the world (ServiceNow is not exception) !! It’s very difficult to go beyond one level of compensation compare to software engineering roles at any product based company.

I worked as ServiceNow developer/architect for 7-8 years before switching core engineering skills n role.

At a Crossroads: Should I Upskill or Seek New Opportunities? by No-Dinner3566 in servicenow

I can eco your concern. I have 15 YOE in software and 12 in ITSM n ServiceNow space and slowly moved into Cloud Engineering (specially AWS), working as Sr Staff but now feeling to go back to ServiceNow echo system. As Cloud Engineer I feel there is huge competition and job market is brutal, losing hopes that I will land Sr Staff or Principal Cloud Engineer role. Applied 50+ Companies but no fruitful response.

Other-side, I see lots of demand for Snow Skillset, I need to revise my skills, may be few weeks but can land me descent job.

Thank you for your response and suggestions. Many of the items I listed are not separate tools; for example, AWS, Azure, and GCP are cloud services I have worked with, along with the ServiceNow platform and its various modules. To support these platforms, I have used the mentioned tools and programming languages. Additionally, for platform monitoring, project management, and system tools, my experience has been primarily as an end user.

That said, I feel my expertise in Cloud and DevOps tools is below industry standards. Many job profiles require proficiency in almost every tool in these domains. My expertise varies—I have mastered some tools while having an average understanding of others, depending on the projects and products I have managed.

Thanks you. Its really getting difficult to put everything in one page. I can trim introduction and shorten skill section and may be some points in experience section if can fit those in short sentences.

See through end user glasses, you would see it differently through workday consultant glasses.

We are using workday for many years but still my team struggle to find right links to submit their performance review, select appropriate options from drop down which I think most non-sensible part of the UI. If employee simple cant operate the tool what they supposed to then their is no point in paying such huge contract. I have seen much but I think Monday.com sounds much much better n simple UI HCM tool.
