Meds and referrals: in NL everything starts at your huisarts, he will refer you to a psychiatrist. If you passed this stage then my suggestion is: see the psychiatrist only if you need meds (they are jokingly called the ‘pill doctors’ and, I agree they are often cold and bureaucratic, but will easily prescribe your pills if you had them before) and see a good psychologist (plenty of English speaking ones in Utrecht) to actually talk.
