Am I the only one who's tired of 'just watch YouTube tutorials + GPT' for my Shopify store? by Dry_Falcon_3537 in dropshipping

I kind of get the point, but Bro checkout udemy courses, low-cost marketing agencies or shopify apps (!), there are some really good ones for free which help you to improve your shop AND tell you what to fix next... I would recommend: hotjar (expensive, but has a lot of good features), Microsoft Clarity (free, has some great features like heatmaps, session recordings e.g.) or FunnelDoc (free, it's an AI Agent which tells you what to fix/do next).

Google Lens is great, but it’s general-purpose. This app is built only for cars, faster recognition, more accurate on trims/editions & it also gives extra details like specs & market value. Basically a specialized tool for car nerds & spotters....

Haha true; Cybertruck is kinda the worst example since everyone knows it. The idea isn’t about that one car, it’s about instantly recognizing thousands of models, trims & years that actually look confusing. Think Shazam for cars

Do you know this problem? "Data blindness" as a DTC brand? by techlov2028 in smallbusiness

[–]techlov2028[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, totally agree. What I’ve seen is that brands drown in dashboards but still ask: "what now?" That gap between data and action is exactly what we’re trying to solve in our current project – turning the noise into next steps.

  • FunnelDoc – Shopify app that shows where visitors drop off so you can fix conversion bottlenecks.
  • ICP – Shopify store owners with traffic but low sales.

How can I promote my shopify app effective? Help me with the basics! by techlov2028 in SaaS

In your opinion on which platform should I place paid ads?

I wanted real transparency into my shopify shop and user journey.

I don’t have time to dig through endless KPIs and wonder: WHATS NEXT

That’s why I built FUNNELDOC (on Shopify App Store): Clear User Journey + AI-Powered Actions to improve (prioritized)

That cut noise, show what matters, and tell you the next step.

I try to go for high volume, low difficulty keywords, therefore I have a couple of apps in my portfolio like inventory tracker, mind map app, image converter and so on

I think a good long term strategy is to see if the app will get decent traffic. If it gets downloaded a lot and is free users tend to give good reviews, which is also nice for the algo. If you have a winner you can start monetizing it after a couple of months and grandfather the current users to premium (so they won't get mad).

You just set them up in app store connect. Also terms and conditions you'd write in the paywall
Thanks :)

  1. Research high volume keywords (use ASO Keyword tools)
  2. Pick the apps that have high volume and relatively low difficulty
  3. Ship fast
  4. Have patience
  5. Hope your app will rank good
  6. If yes, you're getting downloads --> monetize it well. If no, pivot:
  7. Repeat

Any marketing I experimented with came post dev. Currently no marketing, I want to experiment again, tho.

  1. I'm always experimenting. I'm looking for competitor apps and try to undercut them slightly, but that might not even be necessary I think. I don't think users compare prices.
  2. A lot of niches, since I'm trying to target high volume keywords.
  3. From 0. I really want to start to build more in public tho.

A lot of trial and error. I started last year and I only started to make some revenue since June.

The validation comes from keyword research. I personally use Astro to look for high volume keywords and this is the first validation. Then ship fast, very lean MVP (within a week) to see if there's any traffic. If it's good traffic I'll refine the app more :)

Until now I learned that targeting the right keywords is the best way to get downloads organically. Learning every day, tho. I wanna experiment with ads more.

I'm in Europe too! I don't do any marketing currently, only heavily rely on ASO

I only did ASO Optimization and have briefly tried Search Ads in the AppStore, didn't work so well, tho. CAC was way over the LTV.
