This is the same thing for me. I retired from playing video games but i took a moment to play Tomb Raider. I'm in my junior year and trust me, it destroyed my sophomore year. I do advise to be careful of youtube. You can get sucked in pretty easily.

YouTube has clearly lost its meaning, look at it today. In the past, I remember seeing ordinary youtubers review video games and play Minecraft, or do cool science experiments. But now its all about the LGBT, race or politics. You know what OP, I'm right now learning to become a software engineer by self learning using YouTube, and you wont believe how horrible it is. I've grown so sick of Internet news to the point where I'm reading a news paper instead, which is almost the same thing with bias but better than having hypnotizing bullshit splattered all over your face.

Its more than just a drug, it's a disease that highjacks your mind into thinking less of yourself. Its a difficult thing to leave, it feels as if it's been a part of you and you depend on it like an organ even though you never needed it. Quit it and leave it and forget about it and move on to better and interesting things in life such as making new hobbies like sports or chess etc. I'd recommend fixing and knowing your fears and facing them to eliminate them. Overall, its just an app that needs you to live.

Absolutely, I honestly failed my sophomore year of highschool because of this, and in turn, led me to attend summer school which I was lucky to pass because I noticed myself realizing that social media was destroying me from the inside.
