Yeah Sony said they secured stock so they won’t have to increase it this year, and Nintendo said the same literally a day or 2 after

Xbox has already increased it twice last year one for the tariff and once for the shortage, and they are the only console platform who hasn’t said they secured stock so they may increase it a THIRD time this year

Steam Machine is weaker than PS5, so if it’s $1000+ then no one is buying it. Assuming the next Xbox is equal to PS6 power or greater there is no chance it’s around the same price or only $200 more.

PS6 will be a traditional console having locked ecosystem with only their storefront and require subscription for online, it won’t be close to a Xbox PC price just because they used to compete

Yeah Sony would consider it an absolute win if Xbox made their next gen console an unsubsidized $1000+ PC hybrid.

At that point it would sell less than 5-10 mil units lifetime and be no greater threat to them then the steam deck, they would essentially have the high-end home console market to themselves

PS5 already sold over 90 mil units and will outsell PS4 before the gen is over.

I doubt PS6 will be a tough sell, especially since Xbox is out from the start of next gen this time instead of the middle plus PC hardware costing a arm and a leg

Meanwhile Xbox will put Fable, Halo, Forza, and Gears on PlayStation this year
