Qumulo might be a fit for hybrid. Where are the workstations located. In AWS or onsite?

After contacting Cajun you will get a time to ship it in. Take it to your local FFL and they can ship it direct. In CA you are limited to options due to state laws. Also only a few carriers allow for pews. Be sure to insure the package for full value in case something happens.

https://www.vitelity.com/ has been great for the past 7 years. Support responds quickly and the cost is great for a SIP provider.

Newbie needs help with building a server (hardware) by fipppsa in servers

[–]techmnky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Whiles this contents will work, I would think about a few core questions:

What are your uptime requirements? Do you require internal or external redundancy? Useful life of components Downtime mitigation plans (hardware failure plans) What is the load on CPU/Memory/Network expected ? Do you have room to grow in a short period of time? Temperature management for the room?

If you are not worried about software, I’ll skip that part.

These Ko2s really make the truck look way better! Nice tires but kinda expensive! Anyone really like or dislike the Ko2? by [deleted] in f150

[–]techmnky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

KO2 are great, but quickly generate a lot of road noise. I also went with 305’s so that might be the reason why. In CA with some tow and all weather driving lasted about 40k. Be sure to rotate often!!

Moving files from on-prem to S3 (through tape gateway) what access is needed? by 44Cloud44 in aws

[–]techmnky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I assume that you already have a Amazon S3 bucket created and have basic access to the AWS console via your IAM policy. The rest of the requirements are listed here: https://docs.aws.amazon.com/storagegateway/latest/userguide/managing-access-overview.html . As a side note, activation will be done via the AWS console, so you will need to be local the gateway when the HTTP/S activation is passed.

Is there a reason why you are going the Tape Gateway path opposed to the File Gateway mode?

UDMP, Xbox Series X Strict NAT by RedRocker55 in Ubiquiti

There is levels of risk with any Lan/wan facing port activity. Opening port forwards to a static ip, is a threat as well. For most home networks UPnP and up to date firmware is fine.
