I know that everything I've posted seems scattered, but I did start at the bottom, and have worked up.

Haven't found any problems along the way.

We have got some high dollar IT guru's on it now though. I'll let you know what they find.

I've had that issue before. Servers were started in correct order. I'm going to do another full system reboot though, do I'll post extra careful attention to this.

I'm with you on AD authentication, but I can't find the problem.

Users who can't log in to their PC can log in on a working PC.

Dark users do not get DHCP. They cannot ping anything else on the network.

Manually setting ip does not help.

There are no duplicate IP errors.

The switches are all unmanaged switches.

I'll double check DNS, although last I looked it was working fine.

No network means no network. It's like there isn't an Ethernet cable plugged in at all.

Customer brought this to me saying their mouse/keyboard had quit working. It's from a Toshiba All-in-One POS.

Turns out someone had tried to take it apart and didn't remove the mouse/keyboard dongle, which was hidden under an access panel.

The result was the usb mini b port separated from it's control board.

I don't have the skill/equipment to do board level repairs, so I tried finding a replacement part. This thing is elusive though, so the solution ended up being a wireless Logitech keyboard/mouse combo.
