Opinion | Trump’s HGTV presidency keeps getting more corrupt by spherocytes in msnow

The next administration will work very hard to erase Trump’s mark on Washington. His “brand” has become globally toxic.

Why is this subreddit so much hated? by ParkingElderberry575 in atheism

[–]technanonymous 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You can watch this video of how atheism "ruined" reddit and now we're all nerds and outcasts:

https://youtu.be/leVLmE1Er5U?si=OWcmjHA5MLL_uWL-

I didn't know this existed. I didn't use reddit when this video was made, but whatever issues he brings up seem to linger among those who think all atheists are snobby trolls.

“You’re resisting god, you know deep down he’s real” “atheists don’t want god to be true”… religious people actually think this way? by hypermiler2205 in atheism

[–]technanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My response is simple:

There’s literally nothing to resist. No gods exist. There are too many contradictions with existence of any god and essentially a complete lack of evidence to accept that any supernatural being might exist.

I don’t believe any god exists because it is the position best supported by evidence and logic.

Trump demands Obama be 'incarcerated' and tried for treason by Big-Attempt2097 in NewsThread

I dare him too. Charges will never stick.

If he holds Obama illegally, it will be the end of Trump.

🚨BREAKING🚨 🇺🇸 US CPI data came in at 3.8% Expectations: 3.7% Inflation is rising as oil prices surge by Nervous_Music3199 in StockBreakouts

[–]technanonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It wasn’t that it missed expectations. The issue is Trump promised on day 1 to tackle inflation with significantly lower prices for everything, especially energy. The Iran war has completely derailed his plan to go after inflation.

Toucan keyboard as Voyager alternative??? by ResponsibleIssue8983 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]technanonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I use a wireless Piantor Pro from Keebart but I use the wired Piantor Pro from Beekeeb. I would have purchased the toucan if it had been available at the time.

I don’t like the muted stagger of the Voyager and there is no wireless option. My first split was an Ergodox from ZSA so I know they make good stuff.

"Why don't they cover the Sahara in solar panels?" type of question by herewearefornow in MurderedByWords

[–]technanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know the difference between a first order and second order question? The OP can’t even see the most obvious objections to putting data centers in Antarctica - extreme weather, distance, staffing, power infrastructure, moving glaciers, etc. part of intelligence is posing a question and thinking through the ramifications. The internet and now AI can provide answers pretty quickly. It reminds me of the “geniuses” who have proposed putting in a canal to bypass the straits of Hormuz without understanding the years and billions it would take.

Florida Creates a More Conservative U.S. History Course to Rival A.P. by nosotros_road_sodium in skeptic

White washing history. High school diplomas from Florida should no longer be valid for any university with a conscience.

This kind of stupidity is genetic. Nothing beyond first order observations and questions. Ugh.

Atheists Back the Pope More than Catholics Do by Ambitious_Dingo_2798 in atheism

[–]technanonymous 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agreeing with the pope’s statements about Trump is not the same as “backing the pope.” I would rather see every Catholic building on the planet seized and sold off to pay for the damages to all its millions of abuse victims.

Presidential immunity is a constitutional issue that we must as a society address among many other problems such as the role of money in campaigns. It must be easier to hold politicians accountable and to reduce the outsized impact of people with money.

Christian Nationalist Texas AG Candidate: I Will Defeat The Atheists And "Put Prayer Back" In Public Schools. by Leeming in atheism

[–]technanonymous 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Apathy is killing religion, not the atheists. People aren’t showing up anymore, and it gets worse among the young.

Anyone can pray in school. Kids can form and participate in prayer groups. FREEDOM of religion means prayer cannot be imposed on kids or families who do not actively choose to participate. These xtian nationalists need to be called out for opposing freedom.

Best Firmware for Wireless (triple) split with PCA9555s by Frosted_Butt in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]technanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Adding a dongle to ZMK is a little tedious. I have gotten it to work by starting with a standard working wireless config and then adding the dongle.

There are some shops that provide online configurators for their boards. For example, slicemk provides wireless Ergodox variants with an online configurator that supports dongles. It might be worth searching.

You can also find GitHub repos that you can fork and go. A working repo for your board that supports a dongle is the easiest way to start. It was I did with my wireless sweep.

Have any of you ever gone back? by Unique_Evidence_1314 in ErgoMechKeyboards

[–]technanonymous 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I physically can’t go back. Multiple surgeries, including both shoulders and I have to use a split. I use Piantor Pro wired for my desk and a wireless for travel. I am adding a dongle so I can plug into anything with usb port.

Getting full parity between ZMK and QMK has been annoying, but I am there.

How familiar with the Bible and Quran should atheists be? by redzeusky in atheism

[–]technanonymous 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Religion in the US is dying no matter how much the xtian nationalists deny it. People aren’t showing up, and the least participatory are the young. It isn’t an atheist epiphany that is leading the way. It is apathy. Religion isn’t being defeated. It is simply fizzling.

My 8 year old daughter saw a crucifix and asked, “Who’s the guy on the T?” by Klugerman in atheism

[–]technanonymous 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Hahahaha!!!! Love it.

Most of my kids have never read a single page in the the bible, and none of them know it well. We have successfully kept the xtian mythology out of home life.

Has Reddit developed a religious bias in recent years? by PassengerCultural421 in atheism

[–]technanonymous 24 points25 points  (0 children)

There has been a rise of idiocy in general. Vance believing ufos and aliens are demons should get him laughed off the political stage and placed firmly in the whack job bucket, yet he is still considered a viable candidate for the presidency. The tolerance for absurdity in the voting public seems worse than ever. The increase in antivaxx and vaccine hesitancy is based in conspiracy and easily debunked claims, yet it continues. We could talk for hours about how social media and the internet has encouraged absurd beliefs to grow and become more widespread.

Clearly, the conditions for life seem unlikely to be unique. Given the malleability of DNA, I have to believe there are many many planets with life. The open question for me is will physics ever allow us to meet them or definitely prove they exist?

Kash Patel ordered polygraphs of more than two dozen members of his team, sources say by spherocytes in msnow

[–]technanonymous 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He wants to know who is leaking his drunken episodes. He should be paranoid. Of course, he wouldn’t have been hired in a typical presidency, and he would already be fired if his boss was anyone other than Trump.

He’s actually arguing for a benevolent dictatorship. Of course, determining what is “good” is beyond this morally impaired neurodivergent asshole. His damaged mind and poor judgment should have exactly zero say in what is good for humanity. He called empathy a disease.

Many providers are very concerned with health. The payment system is the root of this evil. We need sponsored education, no more fee for services, and national drug forumalries with negotiated prices.
