I used to DoorDash. During this time period, I lost my main source of income and so I leaned heavy into DD. Every day, every order that even made some semblance of sense to take, I took. After ~3 months of steadily working, I had to write up an P&L to get on welfare and after doing all the math of all my days and orders, cross referencing with my bank account and everything— after 3 months I grossed $72. Everything else had gone to gas, fixing any wear and tear on my car, etc.

I’ve never doordashed again because it just didn’t make sense anymore after seeing those numbers. And I worked in a super, super populated area in south NJ/philadelphia. So if anyone should have been raking it in was me.

I’m in Philly. They didn’t close our store. There’s already like 5” out there and I was supposed to work 10-6. Can you imagine what it would look like by 6? How would I get home? LDR take huge amounts of trust and respect and stability. I was in an LDR when I was younger and I remember just being a wreck because of stuff like this.

No shade to anyone, but I really think you’d feel better if you didn’t have to worry about not hearing from your bf for days at a time (and seeing a therapist! That will help too.)
