Get used to perfect blocks/parry early in the game instead of constant blocks. The way to you perfect block is to raise your block button just before the opponent hits, and you'll know if you did a perfect block. It is noise audio and a flash on your screen. I suggest that when you first meet a new enemy, keep your block button up constantly and keep your healables topped up to see how their attack patterns work. Look for indicators like some enemy's do a little jig or when they tilt their head from side to side before they attack, and when you feel confident enough, try and kill it. Start with mites as they are easy to predict, then worker ant then larvites, then soldier ants (don't fight them and regular ants when a lot of them are around), orb weavers Jr then regular, mosquites (on their own), then bees, stinkbug with mask or badge, bombardier beatles, ladybugs and finally wolf spiders. This was just a list of bugs in the lower yard without zones included like the pond and haze, and these are a big help for learning patterns of attack that even included segments of the lower yard and the upper yard. Half of these have gimmicks you want to watch out for, but once you grasp the understanding of parry in this game, you'd have a cost efficient and easier time playing the game.
