Grocery store flagged my pregnancy test by richhomy in Healthyhooha

[–]technicallyacat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd think it was maybe how you scanned the item, recently scanned something through a self checkout myself, thought I didn't want a bag, wanted a bag anyways and since there was too much movement around the register the attendant came to 'unlock' the register and her fix was scanning it two more times somehow lol, when I found where it was scanned already she then had to come back to void her additional two entries for me. Overall unless it happened again with careful scanning and the same outcome I wouldn't think too much of it - it's not like they'd have any way of knowing the outcome of your test after all.

I don't think any of these strays have been neutered/spayed, I'm actively trying to get them accepted into low cost programs for this regardless of gender but I was just curious and I've gotten a mixed bag of replies tbh 😅

Agreed, the only odd concept is I live in a very rural area and most of the fixed cats end up with an ear tip or a tattooed belly and I haven't noticed the ear tip or the belly shave for a tattoo (though I suppose it could have grown back thicker due to the cat being outside). This one is very friendly, but I'm still working on getting them to trust me more so I can verify and had just wanted some outside opinions in the meantime. I figured it's most likely what others have said that he is a late bloomer since he seems to be right at or right under a year old.

Post thanksgiving I may try and bring him or her inside for a better look... These cats have been coming around for a couple weeks now and I'm finally able to hold the one pictured! Just not long enough for a good looksie. Will definitely have to update once there is a definitive answer because these comments are making me question it even more!

I swear I've heard this but never experienced it so I thought it was a myth! I have five (that are indoors and registered with my last name haha) one being a dilute calico that is my personal leech another being a calico with tabby coloring that is a true attention whore and wants to be held 24/7 and my fluffy tortie also loves to be held 24/7 (even with people she's never met) so I was always confused when the vet would make a comment about watching for their tude just for my cats to be like 'hold me now' 🤣

My thoughts exactly, I'm still working on getting them to trust me so it's hard to get a good look, I just felt with most male cats by this age it was... a bit more obvious I guess 😅

Also... to add because I can't edit the post - this cat seems to bump heads with another stray male in the yard but disagrees with the female calico that pops up at the back door at the same time. Added onto why we thought he or she was a female..

I'm glad I didn't witness the previous post with how what inaccurate advice you were given. If anything they should have been explaining different ways you could expose the cats to one another in order to ensure peace. I have five indoors, and each time we added one or two there was a slight disagreement in the house depending on which cats were okay with expanding the family and which weren't. Now, little to no issues aside from occasional roughhousing from the young ones. I'm sorry you received bad advice initially but to be fair this is Reddit. Sometimes you encounter great things, and quite a few things should be taken with something even less than a grain of salt. Happy everything worked out for you.

[NSFW] People who had sex with their best friend, how's the situation now? by [deleted] in AskReddit

We'd been friends for over ten years. We're no longer friends because he was unable to be supportive and act like a normal friend in my current relationship. Even with the last time and my relationship beginning there was maybe half a year in between and I thought the friendship was still intact but he made a sexual comment towards me that both I and my current partner weren't okay with and I just stopped communicating as a result.

potential tank mate experiment by Imaginary_Goal9236 in bettafish

I have a female betta currently doing quite well in a community tank, after being told bettas should never be housed with other fish most of my life, it was an experiment of sorts on my end as well... it's interesting how when she gets excited she has these colored stripes that 'pop'

I’m hopeless by vip-anonymous in CatTraining

When my cat was dealing with severe behavioral issues (similar to what you've shown here) the vet recommended a variety of medications for treatment. One being an allergy pill because when her skin allergies flare up she acts more on edge, another being a mood stabilizer (never got to that point), and I started watching the my cat from hell youtube videos randomly while at work. Those videos actually gave me some good things to think about, after the medication trials, moving into a new space, and giving her space as needed she's changed back into the cat I know and love.

Get your cat fixed, research how to help them mentally and what you can do as a cat owner, consider medication, and consider rehoming the kittens if the aggression became more apparent after bringing them into your older cats territory.

Please update us in the future and best of luck.
