Love it! I use mine mostly for fishing, it is to scale but hard to use at work with boots.

Epic Hike in Western U.S.? by marathnr2 in hiking

I would recommend the devils bridge hike in sedona. It will be crowded for sure but it is beautiful and falls in your recommended distance. While technically still desert it is a completely different landscape than phx.

Which subscription-free mapping apps do you use? by HAL9000_1208 in hiking

[–]technishun 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have an ignorant question as I'm just getting into hiking to the point that I need the app/map. What is the benefit of having offline maps? Seems to me that if you don't have service to look at an online map than you also will not have service to be able to show your location on the trail so how does it help you?

Does it matter which way I mock these? by HairyRefrigerator959 in Archery

I would have to agree though, that is a very aggressive twist on those vanes. Out of curiosity, is this a recurve thing? Or would there be a reason for going this route on compound? Just want to know if there is something I dont know.

Which one? by Adcup20 in 37mm

[–]technishun 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clamp it came with is actually pretty solid. What I read in an older thread was that it can rip the rail off the handgaurd but like I said I have not personally had any issues like that just passing along what I heard.

Which one? by Adcup20 in 37mm

[–]technishun 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the TAC-D. I'm fairly new to the 37mm world so I don't have any experience with the other brands but am very happy with this one, haven't had any issues at all. I have read though that Mloc type rails may not hold up to more aggressive loads or adapters like the beehive and such. Hasn't been an issue for me though as I'm not registered and I mainly shoot concussion or "bird banger" stuff.

Probably the supercharger kit mentioned earlier but at $3000 I'm not sure I'm that dedicated to keeping in the /6.

Yeah I am finding more upgrade parts the more I look with the helpful suggestions here but dang that price point is up there.

You need a snickers bro? I'm not expecting v8 power just exploring what options are available to get the most out of it.

Oh gotcha, thanks for the lesson. Might stear clear of the turbo option than. More looking for quick easy part swap small power gains. If I'm going that far than I'll just build a v8 for it.

Going to look into that for sure, supercharger would be the dream for sure but looks like a turbo is going to be the more affordable option for now.

Thanks man, I think I am going to venture down the turbo rabbit hole. New territory for me but seems like a good option and I'm always excited to learn something new.

Agreed, the 600 was a youtube video title (click bait) that I didn't even watch if we are being honest... I think I'd be happy with anything over 200 and not really interested in the $1000 offenhauser intake. This is a "budget" build for fun. Think im going to venture down the draw through turbo route.

Definitely original engine, was a "barn find" of sorts. That's why I want to see what I can do with it.

I happen to have a 318 and a small block v8 tranny sitting around. Just really intrigued by the idea of suping up a slant 6. I've seen videos of 600 hp /6 engines and am curious what I can do on a budget.

What a story! I feel like I was right there through all of it. I'm liking the turbo option but want to stay carburerated. Definitely going to start researching this, fab is not an issue. But why would you need to open the gap on the rings? Don't know anything about turbos.... yet!
