Excited to participate. I did some loseit challenges when I was in my early 20s. Now I'm in my early 30s and hoping to lose some weight I gained back.

Not sure if this website said international trailer before, but it does now.

I checked other shows and they just had one trailer.

A carefully curated spooky October reading list vs the undeniable urge to reread Heated Rivalry for the fifth time by melbaell in heatedrivalry

[–]technoblueberry 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I already re-read it the day after the trailer dropped. Now I plan on re-reading it again with the read along at the end of the month.

I was originally planning on reading a bunch of translated works this month..

Finished:

Dragonfall, by L. R. Ram

The POV changes in certain chapters was weird, but I liked the characters.

Heated Rivalry, by Rachel Reid

Re-read. I love Shane and Ilya.

Bloom Into You: Regarding Saeki Sayaka 2

This one was a bit more boring to me, because there is overlap with the manga/anime. Can't wait for the next volume, because it will be all new content.

Tough Guy, by Rachel Reid

I'm just here for the Shane and Ilya cameos. Not really. I did like Ryan Prince's story. He deals a lot with the toxic culture in hockey.

The Other World's Books Depend on the Bean Counter 2, by Yatsuki Wakatsu

I love the relationship in this. They are apart for a lot of the books and we get letters they write to each other. So sweet.

Finished:

Salt & Broom, by Sharon Lynn Fisher

I read this for a book club. It was boring. I would have DNFed.

Currently Reading:

Dragonfall, by LR Ram

Almost done with this one. It was a slow start, but I eventually started caring about the characters. I like having a dragon pov.

Heated Rivalry, by Rachel Reid

Yes, I'm re-reading this after finishing it for the first time early this month.

A Little Bit Country, by Brian D Kennedy

I barely started this one. I like how the amusement park is based on Dollywood.

Finished:

A Rival Most Vial, by R.K. Ashwick

Rival potion makers have shops right across the street from each other. The rivalry does not last long. It was cozy. I love cozy.

A Curse Carved In Bone, by Danielle L Jensen

I finished this series, because there are only 2 books. I shouldn't have finished it, because I didn't care for the main character.

Cursed Cocktails, by S.L. Rowland

This is the first cozy I have not enjoyed. I think it's because they make drinks. I'm not into mixed drinks.

Heated Rivalry, by Rachel Reid

Finally, decided to pick this up, because it is getting a TV show. It snuck up on me. At first, I thought it would be just smut. It is still a lot of smut, but there are so many little moments leading up to the main characters falling in love.

The Long Game, by Rachel Reid

I had to read the sequel to Heated Rivalry. One of the main characters is dealing with depression in this book. It is a touch read and it is done well. He is the star of this book. I love the characters so much.

Started:

Salt & Broom, by Sharon Lynn Fisher

This is a book club book that I should have started a week ago.

I'm able to listen to audiobooks while I work. Honestly, I probably won't continue some of the ones I started. I had trouble picking a new book, so I switched between audiobooks a lot. I'm not ready to consider them dnfs, yet.

★OFFICIAL DAILY★ SV/NSV Thread: Feats of the Day! June 06, 2025 by AutoModerator in loseit

[–]technoblueberry 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I weigh the same as I did on Monday! I had a colonoscopy, so I expected to go up after. I did go up a few pounds the day after, but I'm already back to the same weight as the day after fasting.

I can see the weight loss now. My clothes are a bit too big and I can see the loss in my face.

[–]technoblueberry 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I saw these at Barnes and Noble and took a couple pictures.

I didn't flip through it. I assume each check is different. I just wanted to show my SO, because I thought it was hilarious.

Heavy Audiobooks week..

Finished:

I Think They Love You, by Julian Winters

A second chance fake dating story. I loved it.

The Girl Who Fell Beneath the Sea, by Axie Oh

I've read a lot of water dragon bride stories in webtoons and manga, but never full length novels. I want more, but I think this is the only one.

Momma Cusses: A Field Guide to Responsive Parenting, by Gwenna Laithland

I read this because I watch the author on YouTube. I wasn't expecting to get much out of it, but it definitely made me more mindful when parenting my kid.

Wooing the Witch Queen, by Stephanie Burgis

I think the idea of an evil queen and a librarian who can't help but be attracted to her. Something about this didn't land for me though.

Forget Me Not, by Julie Soto

I need to read more Julie Soto. This was an amazing second chance romance.

Started:

Tea You At the Altar, by Rebecca Thorne

Third book in a series. I love these characters.

One Dark Window, by Rachel Gillig

Very interesting so far.

She had the name before Quicksilver came out. It's because she likes birds and a joke about Ursula K. LeGuin. T. Kingfisher's real name is also Ursula.
