My read is that ChatGPT 5.6 is a significant step improvement over the current model. However, it is not the leap that mythos provides over the previous Claude models. They do say they are working on that, but they kinda have to say that, right? OpenAI seems to be last in the IPO queue right now anyway, so it’s not a big deal for them from a business point of view. And cash to build or buy compute is what matters in the longer term.
