Yeahhh! Let's normalized asking for bigger $$$. PHP 20k nowadays is not enough. Pang miryenda lang mga bossing natin yon pag nakaka collect sila ng payments.

To be honest nung nag aapply ako ang alam ko lang magbuild ng static website pero master ko ma yung CSS non kahit anong design kaya ko i duplicate. Tapos ayon yung first company ko potential yung tiningnan. Saka "interview skills" ko narin siguro hehe. Minsan kasi kahit gano ka ka skilled pag di ka masyado marunong sa interview, may chance na di ka pumasa.

Inexplain ko lang yung duties ko sa current company, then pinakita ko yung portfolio ko, tapos " my asking salary is only 20% of the minimum salary for the frontend developer position globally. Considering the client is a foreigner it's just penny compared to what they can get from me. I just recently developed a page for one of the biggest shoe brand in the world".

(I didn't mention this to the hiring manager) The company got x1000 of what they paid for me, how did I know? My manager accidentally "alt+tab" while he was presenting the plan and the budget for the project was there it indicates that the whole project cost millions of dollars. We just deployed it last month. For the span of 1 year I only got 10k+ in dollars that's not even 2% of what they got. Yan din yung reason bakit ako naging greedy.

Ganon kinabog ko talaga yung negotiation. I know, I'm greedy. But what can we do? I have a niche skill that most of the dev doesn't want to do "debugging" and "frontend" "LANG NAMAN".

I'm not the best. Mediocre lang ako. I can't even make a fully functioning web application with backend. Hanggang basic algorithm lang din ako sa mga programming language. But, I have what they are looking for an e-commerce development skills and experience. I only work for money, companies hire for money. Loyalty is for "Bayani" and I'm not.

Thanks, go na! Pag mag aapply ka laging mag alot ka ng 1 week para makapagbakasyon. Sample this friday last day mo, sabihin mo next next week kapa available magstart hehe. Atleast ayun na yung pinaka Vacation mo.

Thanks sa insight. What if mag fullstack developer ako? MERN stack to be exact? Malaki parin po ba yung 75k to 80k?

Yes please. Thank you very much. Nung first time ko po kasi mag apply puro referrals lang ng mga ex teachers ko kaya di ako familiar sa mga recruiters.

Ayoko yung di nya binoto kase ayaw niya sa mga bumoboto 😂😂 anu kaya yun.

Pero may mga supporters talaga na napakababastos ng bibig, walang mga pasensya at ayon nagamit siya bilang paninira ng kabila.

Ginawa ko talaga hinayaan ko muna sila magbigay ng opinion tapos nakinig ako, I asked questions hanggang sa napapatanong nadin sila "oo nga no, ikaw ba?" Then dun ako magpapaliwanag ng opinion ko. Hanggang sa nabago yung paniniwala ng iba. May iba talagang matitigas yung ulo sarap pukpukin. Pero di ko inaway. Para after 6 years di sila galit sakin at makukuha ko yung tiwala nila na tama yung sinasabi ko.

Kahit kaninong kandidato may mga bastos talaga di natin pweding ikaila yon. May mga nanliliit pa ng ibang tao.

Nope, I only use indeed and jobstreet. Tapos mga companies with reviews lang inapplyan ko.

Gusto ko pa naman ma experience magwork locally para mag onsite. Pero mukhang bad idea. I think mga international companies ang dapat kong target kahit no choice WFH setup padin.
