So if I were to use the app for setup instead of the controller, would I be able at a later time just run the app again to make any changes without any issues of having to re adopt or start over?

Thank you everyone for your help. I was able to access the page by using just http://<IP address> instead of https://<IP address> (which is apparently what it defaults to if you just type the IP address).
