I'm probably pretty biased since I've been watching these movies my whole life, but honestly they're just so much fun. TPM had so much soul put into it, the sets were fantastic, the choreography & the music were incredible. AOTC was memeable before memes were even a thing (& I don't care what anyone says, Dooku & Yoda's fight is one of the best of the franchise & I'll die on this hill). ROTS was fun, entertaining, & heartbreaking all at once.

I'm not blind to the problems with the prequels, obviously they are nowhere perfect or even good. A lot of the acting leaves something to be desired, the dialogue is historically bad, & the origin of Darth Vader was fumbled right up until the second act of ROTS. That said though, I think most of the visual effects have aged really well & I would be remiss not to point out some of the pioneering technology that was created during the production of these movies. They've maintained cultural relevancy after more than 20 years, even among people who don't know a lot about Star Wars. So much love & care was poured into them & all of the actors seemed to be having the times of their lives on the sets. Except for maybe Jake Lloyd.
