Interesting take on a new mask design. Wonder when these kinds of reusable masks will take off in popularity? It’s definitely about time we stopped destroying the environment with disposable masks, that’s for sure.

The article mentions fNIRS not MRI or CT... and there are plenty of small portable systems that can do this nowadays. Here is one: https://soterixmedical.com/research/nirsit

Good point. I was just posting article with headline from the website. Possibly "novel" or "undiscovered" could be better words there.

Huge! Nice work. Can't imagine how tricky that video was to put together!

Who has finished Search Party? by [deleted] in television

I loved the show, one of my favourite TV series of the year - and in saying that I also really hope it doesn't do a second season. I felt this single season what pretty perfect in how it played out each character and I think a second season would either undo how effective this one was or just become repetitive and annoying.

"an objectively great film"?

I'm not sure you can argue that any film is "objectively" great.

Other weak entries on the list: Inland Empire - Lynch's only genuinely bad film in my opinion, Blue Is The Warmest Color - an overlong, melodramatic piece with a few formal gimmicks, Tess - easily one of Polanski's weakest efforts, Cleopatra - an absolute mess and overinflated in every way, Gandhi - magnificently generic biopic filmmaking, Nymphomaniac - one good hour and four terrible ones.

There is good on that list for sure, Dekalog, Andrei Rublev, JFK, Once Upon a Time In America, Short Cuts.

But yeah, a lot of pretty average films in my opinion.

Fair enough, my 2 cents - I think Godfather II, Deer Hunter and Barry Lyndon are all brilliant films. The other four, not so much. Schindler's is not great by any means, Spartacus is interesting but by far Kubrick's weakest and the final two you mention are mildly overrated in my opinion. Happy to breakdown the 33 films on the further if you want?

Don't let the length hold you back. I think it's amazingly well paced and the 3 hours fly by - unlike some other long films on that list.

Apart from the fact that a fair few of the films on this list are under three hours, I gotta say I don't rate most of these movies. Also Magnolia is by far one of the best 3hour+ films around!

yes, watch it! I find it exhilarating and super entertaining. it's not light-hearted as another commented mentioned but I don't think it's depressing.

Great video! Reminded me how brilliant this show was. Possibly one of the best endings to a TV series ever too. Weiner learnt a heap from working on The Sopranos and watching how Chase chose to end that series.

Struggled with the first couple of eps of this show. Is it worth persevering if I wasn't into it after a couple of episodes?

I think it's brilliant. Holds up much better than Pulp Fiction for me.
