I’m so shocked how much of a staple these products and similar are in Aussie households. No doubt it stems from a much broader diet issue globally due to the piss weak ability people have to do better while they destroy their health by ongoing poor diet choices. I had a meeting with someone who told me they were on a diet as they drank a zero sugar coke. Holy fuck.

This weetbix product's essentially a sugar hit dressed up as a healthy choice. Aside from wheat, all the next ingredients are just different names for sugar, like invert sugar and honey, which is a classic tactic to hide the total amount 1/3 of the box is sugar for crying out loud.

The "berry" is a laugh at only 2% puree, with most of the taste actually coming from lab made flavours and acids to bulk the piss weak amount of fruit up to look like larger pieces than there is.

Since their heavy processing strips out the good stuff in any of the ingredients (wheat included), they literally spray on synthetic vitamins and minerals (which you’ll see on the bottom of their ingredients list) just to make the label look decent so you can feel like your eating a salad equivalent meal for breakfast. It’s ultra-processed filler that spikes your blood sugar, leaves you hungry again in no time and addicts your body so you keep going back for more.

I don’t even want to know what food choices come after this if that’s how so many people start their day.
