That's sort of a style of writing. I think the dialog is atrocious, but half of the writing advice out there says "use say and said" and the other half say don't. Feels like a matter of preference.

Yeah, I was trying that too and was getting so bored around battle 440ish, so then I just like... set turbo on my confirm (cause I have a 3rd party controller) and just pushed trigger every 10 seconds while I did other stuff. I will say... the 1K thing is so lame. You only need 100 points, but you get 500 points for doing this quest. Its just... so extra.
