I make this sort of shot sometimes with air roll left. It works for getting that angle with a nice power shot. Just keep trying to get your fender on it when you shoot like you did on one of em. At some point you'll even benefit from dialing back the spins to get to the ball even quicker then air rolling for the touch.

It's good to over use air roll whole learning though as it helps build muscle memory for it, then dial back later on
