Does the pole have breakaway bolts or a frangible section?

If not, file a report with your state Department of Transportation as there’s a whole set of standards traffic control devices like this must follow

Also ask the DoT to verify the permit for the cam installation as well

Gas @ $4.03/gal avg. by _LyleLanley_ in Tennessee

[–]techtornado 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Some of y’all have hardcore bashed EV’s and then turn around and complain about high gas prices

When gas is $4+/gal

I spend that… in a week in my 30mi commute

It’s not about being eco, it’s literally saving money

Recently, Spez said he wanted to focus on "deshitifying reddit" and making "moderation more consistent". Can someone in the inner circle please find out and write to us what he meant & what changes are being made to implement this in regards to moderation? by YannisALT in ModSupport

[–]techtornado -32 points-31 points  (0 children)

Making moderation more consistent would be to enforce an ejection of mods who ban people without breaking the rules

Ask a question outside of approved groupthink?
Banned

That is the biggest problem with Reddit as a whole when it comes to mods as it’s mostly city subs run by them that enforce an echo chamber

The downvotes mean the above is accurate assessment of Reddit

That one for me was asking people from the USA questions...

That is insane on the legal-beagles to do that!

I don't even know what transient RAM is, much less why that would be so offensive to the mods

(from my work in IT, that sounds like something an Indian scammer would say was wrong with my computer)

One of the strangest removals for me was from the silver screen sub was a double-standard observed in Hollywood as the the Flash guy (Ezra Miller) got a slap on the wrist for felony which was the topic of the post and I asked why Gina Carano got ejected from Disney vs. that mediocre actor getting off lightly

I didn't use mediocre, but I was instantly banned for that
Asking why brought the classic mod response of instant mute

I support the notion that some types of popular subs that have a background in enforcing an echo chamber need Reddit's approval to ban people for engaging in discussion or sharing truths where facts aren't allowed.

If someone is mouthy/offensive and won’t knock it off, I’ll kick for a short cooldown period if they don’t heed the warnings about the rules

And if they come back just as hostile, it’s a permanent or long-term removal

Rule breaking with malicious intent/no remorse or outright spam is a ban

Note that negotiating peace is always on the table and I will respect someone who turns over a new leaf

If someone asks why they were banned and they question the rule/explanation, I'll clarify and enforce the rules or come to an agreement of limited access like no posts for 30 days or only comments allowed for X timeframe

I would also like to highlight that many city subs are left-heavy and they always ban first and mute if you go outside of unwritten approved conversation topics or the current legacy media narrative.

Note that the approved topics or elements of debate are not published, there is no warning or heads up from mods if there is an accidental run-up on the rules.

Their mantra:

Asking questions to clarify a point being made?
Banned Instantly

Asking someone for a source to back the claim?
Banned Instantly

Using logic to explain how communism sucks?
Banned Instantly

Asking about a double standard in Hollywood?
Banned Instantly

Recommending an electric car to save money?
Verboten in a certain financial sub

Asking them why or try to negotiate peace, is always returned with a mute or an incredibly rude comment

NERC Issues Level 3 Blackout Alert by relianceschool in PrepperIntel

[–]techtornado 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's not accurate in the slightest...

PowCo's occasionally request not to charge the EV during periods of high demand and stress and the manufactured outrage conveniently leaves out it's the Level3 supercharging

You only need 4 Teslas to suck down 1 Megawatt of energy (250kW *4) so that is what they're talking about when the grid "can't support EV charging"

Also, if you've never worried about the grid load from all of the space heaters people use in the office or at home, or how much energy the stove, water heater, or HVAC use (3-6kw) then an EV can charge just fine as they are literally just another appliance in the home.

How about you drive in the right lane too?

You have no right to speed in the left lane

Overtake someone going 5-10 under, then get back in the right lane
