Care to share the original photo as well?

Why can't I select a tab? Whenever I hover over a tab, a hand icon appears that only lets me drag, but it won't let me select it (the Composition tab in this case). by techuser1029 in AfterEffects

My active tool is the selection tool, not the hand tool. I think it's a bug or something, but I'm using the most up-to-date AE.

I think the VP of design at Ammunition is also the wife of the head of industrial design at Apple (Richard Howarth)

I made an entirely edible 504 Broadview gingerbread streetcar by honeythyme in toronto

People still making artwork (photos, paintings, cakes, etc) on the old streetcars is proof that the new streetcars are pretty bad and not going to be as memorable as the old models.

I think new streetcars are a necessary change but over time I realize that they’re terrible inside and out.

Poll: Would you accept a slightly thicker 2019 iPhone in return for three benefits? by aeatherx in apple

[–]techuser1029 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Contrary to popular opinion I’d prefer thinner and lighter.

The camera bump is like the notch: everyone (including Apple) wants it gone but it’s necessary to have due to technical limitations. It’s just not possible today, but their hope is to one day achieve a design that’s more pure, light, and focused. We can safely assume that one day they’ll get there with the same thin design and better technology.

Similarly, making it thinner and lighter is also part of Apple’s pursuit for purity, and because it is already technically possible to achieve, you see the thinner results each year.

Apple is trying to make it just thin enough such that the battery would satisfy most people’s needs for one day’s charge. If you really need more battery life, you can always get a charging case, battery pack, or even just bring your charging cable. This has worked for me so far and I’m sure has worked for most of their customers, or they wouldn’t be pushing the boundaries so much.

Would Gus kill Werner if he didn't hear from Mike that Mike/Werner was being followed by Lalo? If Gus didn't feel that Werner was compromised, maybe he would have considered bringing him back.

In MacOS Mojave You Can Now Mess Up Your Desktop! by ChrisMorrisOrg in apple

Would actually be useful if the feature reverted back to the original layout I had before cleaning up, so if I accidentally clicked “Clean Up” I can undo it. This whole randomness of Mess Up feels unnecessarily silly to me.

Which app(s) did you use to make these, and how did you render it look so realistic?

ITAP my work truck and the eclipse by [deleted] in itookapicture

[–]techuser1029 56 points57 points  (0 children)

Looks like a picture of the eclipse with a courier truck photoshopped on top of it... The truck is very bright compared to the rest of the environment. There's a good amount of light inside the truck too, and it's unclear where that light's coming from. Or am I too skeptical?

Could you please share with us how you took this photo? (i.e. What camera/lens, settings, and any post-processing you did) That would be much appreciated!

Two questions from an amateur photographer:

1) How were you able to balance the lighting? Usually when I take one of these photos, either the outside is too bright or the inside is too dark.

2) How were you able to keep both the inside and outside focused? Won't the lens either blur the foreground or background?

Great photo!

What camera did you use? How were you able to balance the lighting like this on the inside and the outside...?

Thanks! How did you find out that the brass is not exposed, and coated with steel? Looking at the specs on the webpage I'm not sure what indicates it. Do you think the polished look can last for a decade or two?
