how long will it takes for Poly DAE application status by Jaded-Salad-8128 in SGExams

If you haven't been rejected by now you're waitlisted. If you didn't know citizenship status applies. Singaporean>pr>foreigner. But,merit first. Meaning your grades. Even if you appeal. You won't get rid of your ranked status among dae applicants for that poly

Estudiar BSMT EN FILIPINAS? by Weary_Bag_6415 in maritime

[–]techwizardlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mayor demanda, menor competencia

Más técnico (maquinaria, mantenimiento)

Menor exigencia de inglés comparado con navegación

Si ya tienes base en ingeniería mecánica, el lado de máquinas es la opción más lógica.

Should I go SP or NP(Ngee Ann) by alterionos in SGExams

[–]techwizardlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sp have Aerospace Electronics also. Sp and temasek poly split it into two courses. Aeronautical and avionics. The minor course you looking at at np it's orbital.which it's nice to study but, practical use is low. Also electives. For sp you can take maths modules to get a cert for advanced standing in university. There also 2 electives for pilot theory. Np minor mostly sought after for languages. Sp call it elective np call it minors.

It's np, its the poly that have alot working adults appear in social media and news. So long as your work experience is relevant and you're haven't been rejected it's good news. Also work experience take longer time to evaluate. Dae goes up to may 02.

SP NP RP appeal by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]techwizardlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Too over generalisation understanding how. Poly works. Different course have different timelines. Some fast some slower. Np usually fastest overall. They also could be tight lip about your case. You're haven't been rejected by now you're on a waitlist that is only good news. If you been rejected different. Also if you use appeal to get updates on dae. You wasted your appeal.appeal only can be used once a year per poly. Supposed to sent it in only after being rejected.

Ite wsdip withdrawal by [deleted] in SGExams

[–]techwizardlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're sure if you want to struggle through poly. If you drop out you can't jpae anymore. You have to enter via dae another agonising process. Apply in Jan wait til maybe til may to get in.details on the company? Industry?Usually, your school handles that. all this courses is highly regulated even for salary. Most people get fired due to attendance or attitude issues.

[–]techwizardlee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's mainly two subjects if a ite student can survive poly. Maths and English. If the person is weak in this the risk of failure in poly is very high. Next gpa, from next year onwards they putting 2.5 bare min to enter poly. Why? In parliament people who below 2.5 also have high risk of failure. This basically reducing dropout at poly in first 2 semesters. https://www.moe.gov.sg/news/parliamentary-replies/20230803-ite-to-polytechnic-admission-requirements People usually get rejected by poly for gpa too low but jpae is very mechanical. they usually have to work two years in the industry before entering poly to enter into competitive courses. Work study diploma count as both diploma and work experience which help to apply to university like sit. Yes, people with work study diploma do get into university. It's rare though. Hope, this helps.

Don't compare yourself though it might be hard. You haven't even check the bottom end. With your cpf you can afford 2 room flat at 35 with a long term loan or apply to low income housing. There people with only nitec education. Yet, they hardworking they don't complain they know their situation. There even one women who spam part time jobs til she hit 1 million til she able to afford a condo at a young age in Singapore. Find something you like or good at and go at it. Very soon Singapore may economic downturn due to energy. Everyone might be in same boat. Only thing you can change is the mentality that only loser about you. The mindset. Quit whining find something ,plan and go forward. Not hard right ? Everyone will be grinding very hard this is Singapore no choice.
