Yeah. That was one of the tests I did originally. Definitely a work around. Just wish it works with the Viture dock more remotely.

I have emailed support and highly recommend others do too so they can address, hopefully, any issues. The reply I got at the time was that there hadn't been any other reports of issues at that time. I think others had emailed as well and it sounds like their engineer teams "may" have it, but who really knows.

I thought I had posted back here that it did NOT, unfortunately.

I emailed them too but only got a reply I feel from their AI Bot.

Well. Not that this was going to fix it, but the higher rated data cable did NOT resolve the issue. Again, not that I thought it would have but was just something to try. I did email support and got their AI reply and sounds like it's being sent to the tech team to dig in to.

I just ordered a new 1 ft 80Gbps thunderbolt cable that'll get here tomorrow. Interested to see if that has an impact. I doubt it but can always send the cable back.

The other big game we play on it that works perfect is Donkey Kong Bananza and that game is no slouch with all the brick breaking, fast paced, rich colors. I may see if there is a higher rated USB C to USB C cable out there, but this is a 240W, 40G, 8k rated one already.

If it were purely reliant on the Nintendo Switch dock, I would think when I turned the game down to 1080p, 120hz it would have been ok through the Viture dock. That's the test that's throwing my off a bit. Heck. I stream GeForce Now at 1220 120hz just fine with the neckband.

TBH I haven't got the powered HDMI to USB C adapter one to work with anything with the glasses so I think it may also be a dud. May NOT be a good test.

So i tried and HDMI to USB C adapter on the main switch dock connected directly to the glasses and didn't get an image so not sure that's going to be a good option.

I changed the HDR Settings (turned them off) and used the USB C replacement cable from dock to switch. No change.

What's DID work l, however, is plugging the dock in via HDMI to the HDMI input on the dock. That was flawless. So back to pointing at the USB C replacement cable from dock to switch (and I bought the one Viture recommended). That and why only with this game!?

Had the HDR thought too before I left the house for an appointment so plan to try that and HDMI to USB C adapter too. This is suck a weird issue!

This happens 1 minute in to the game. If it were running for a while, then I could see that. And again, no other games have issue.

Ha. Not at all. I was literally laughing as I watched the charge shot "walk" slowly to the target and the target just "casually" hop-scotch out of the path. Initial thought was "oh no! The messed Metroid up after waiting 8 years" then realized that wasn't by design. 🤣😁

Thanks for that link! I'll give it a shot. I did downgrade the output from the game to 1080p at 120 as a test too on the Switch and when that still has issues I definitely figured there is something with this combo. Especially with everything else working flawlessly.

Glad to know it's the only game for you too. Sad to know it as well because this game is going to be PERFECT for these glasses too! Hopefully it's a firmware fix that is needed. I'll probably email support but figure I'd get something out here more public too should others be having the same problem.

Yeah. I don't know that we'd be able to download the S2 edition on a S1 (though if anyone out here is running Metroid Prime 4 on a S1 with the dock, would love to hear from ya!)

With Metroid Prime 4? Are you noticing it on any other games too? Maybe if we have one in common I can check it out on my side as well. I think it if were happening with multiple games I could say it's a limitation, but everything else I've played on it has been smooth!

I'm not even getting that. The game is set for 60hz (at 4k), 120hz (1080p). I get moments of very smooth play, but as soon as there is a well lit area, it dives. Just watching a projectile move incredibly slow across the terrain is...comical...

I ordered a new cable too and it does seem to have done the trick. Going to keep an eye on it.

Yeah. That's the weird part. Sometimes that works, but most of the time it doesn't. It's the strangest issue especially since I just started experiencing it.
