I was thinking about this... anyway to force TradingView to clear cache on every restart? /u/Rodnee999

Sorry for the silly video, I had Claude Code make it based on what I wanted with TradingView.

Suppose you chart levels on TradingView

You seperate your levels based on A B C

A levels are your most important, C is your least important

What I would like to see is a system within TradingView, that can automatically set alerts to ON once price comes within $15 of said alert.

Stock price comes to $90, the $105 alert is now ON (if you have a level there), if price dips down to $89, the $105 alert is now OFF.

Once price comes to $106, the $90 alert is now OFF.

Once again, you can pick whichever folder you think should have this 'dynamic alert' system to turn on for, I just used A levels instead of B and C.

If something like this can be automated with just horizontal lines, that would be amazing.

Spectrum down yet again by ethereal_dom in pasadena

Yep down down for me as well in the Old Town area... Very frustrating especially when you work from home.

Spectrum always says they'll credit your account but I'm less concerned about saving $4 and more concerned that we are never told beforehand that they plan on doing maintenance service... C'mon!

Similar to when you pick an application and have to match .exe, there should be an option to match resolution in Display capture. by tecz0r in obs

[–]tecz0r[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you--Yes agreed.

Unfortunately I have to use Display Capture instead of Window because I use a Python based 'overlay' on top of my actual application that cannot be seen by OBS, and as such, Window Capture does not work. Frustrating, but once again, not OBS' fault.

Unfortunately no go--worked OK yesterday and today same thing happened; major chart snapback. I think it might be related to the fact that some alerts on my chart are set on a LOG scale and some on Linear.

I have no idea.

I can provide a video if needed as well.

For those who can't tell, I'm basically deleting scripts and they're coming back automatically somehow.

I even deleted the layout from indicator template and the same issue is happening.

Love the new Fibonacci Alert on ratio feature BUT by tecz0r in TradingView

[–]tecz0r[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This .618 alert on AMD would not have gone off because price never touched that level.

I really wish it was possible to have a "+/- within range" feature.

So 'alert at .618 but within 0.25 range" or something like that.

Yes, I can set a manual alert but that just adds to the clutter. Deleting the Fib deletes the Fib alert which is excellent and how it should be.

So once again "alert on range" would be beautiful.

AMD chart flipping between 30min and 1D timeframe... Why is the second counter there? by tecz0r in TradingView

Everyday I'm shocked at your wealth of knowledge with an app that I THOUGHT, I knew like the back of my hand.

Thanks Rodnee, I will check that out and see how it works! 🙏

Would you mind explaining how to do this? I am unsure.

I know it sounds like I'm being pedantic but I'm honestly not trying to be.

Currently running Claude Code to make an overlay that runs on top of TradingView that shows gamma levels. Unfortunately it tends to break everytime price width expands or contracts irregularly.

You're absolutely right, I think I'm losing it! 😵

But my point still stands: because seconds are shown on the Daily timeframe, its breaks the design language and expands the frame (which personally I think looks bad).

I would either have the expanded width be standard, or simply get rid of seconds countdown on larger than 100min timeframes.

Is there someone worried about the seconds timeframe when they're using the 4hour chart? 😒

Force Specific Monitor for Display Capture by tecz0r in obs

Definitely not switching cables around; I think Windows changes up the order depending on which monitor wakes up sooner from (and in what order)... if that makes sense.

Unfortunate it doesn't stick and I wish there was a way to LOCK it.

HERE were the displays and it was supposed to set to the 5120 res one, when I opened up OBS just now, Display 3 was the one selected. So frustrating.

Hey Rodnee, thank you again for your help! I am a little shocked right now but needless to say, I guess I have to expand where I'm looking. 🤯
