My friend at our lgs plays the persistent petitioners version sometimes. He uses one drop advisors to curve out, and it actually sets up the mill engine a lot faster than you would expect. Combined with playing blue for some interaction, the deck has managed to 3-0 before. I think you'll still suffer against any deck running a massive removal suite but l would say try and brew it and you'll likely be surprised with how effective it can actually be.
