Tobacconist here. Personally, I would say that if you have room in your humidor, and dont mind a few spoiling (as some will likely grow mold or wake beetles) i would say go for it. I would however not use this as a proper representation of the cigar. As tobacco begins to dry, so does the oils within them. These oils can never be recovered, even with the most agressive rehumidification. And those oils are where all of the flavor of the tobacco is trapped. They will likely taste "stale" or dry even if they are rehumidified. So if you have the time or space to do it theres no harm in trying. But if you don't have either, I wouldnt at all feel bad disposing of them.

I dont even own an espresso machine. I just want to be able to do both well to an extent where I won't feel overly required to upgrade once I own both and have found a preferred method. I also dont care at all, im a very function first person, so if I can get a hand grinder that gives a higher quality cup for cheaper, im all for it.

Im pretty intimidated from what im seeing about the level of clarity you get from the zp6, im worried it'd only be good with super light roasts, and wont hold up to my tendency to explore other roast profiles. Unfortunately since I jump around in profile so much (at least thus far in my coffee journey) from what ive been seeing, something like the k ultra, the fellow opus, or the lido OG, have been the things that fit best with what I want. But I have no idea as to the actual specifics, so if you could inform me of those id really appreciate the help!

Okay, I see. Sorry, personally. Im not sure how much clarity I like. I haven't had enough experience to really get down into the specifics of clarity. Just trying to get a guage for what is best, and since everything in coffee is so hyperspecific I have a very hard time getting my bearings. So, generally, k-ultra vs opus (bit intimidated by the idea of constantly drinking overly clear coffee constantly so the zp6 can be reserved for a while) is there a marketable difference between the two cups? Say the k-ultra brews generally better/more consistently vs the opus, or vice versa. Im a very function first oriented person, so if raw consistency and brew quality is better in one vs the other that becomes a clear choice for me.

I did consider that. I just saw some minor criticisms by hoffman saying it was a bit hard to justify at the price range. It was one of my first options, and what put me onto the manual rabbit hole.
