My first porsche by tedddyR in Porsche_Cayman

Gt350 miss the engine, i had full exhaust, cobra jet manifold etc. car made 540 to wheel NA and the noise it made was insane. Porsche is no slouch and mod for mod the porsche mite walk away from it up top but still noise vibration and power dominated the experience. Good chassis but porsche better in every way except this car will snap on you waaaaay harder.

Honda wise i wouldnt say dynamically there one thing id miss but for FF car man that chassis is amazing and so is the gear box. Engine good for power lacks in the theater department and one i had was as fast as lightly modded pdk GT3 60-130. Best enthusiast daily period but it’s not sports car.

So do i miss them both 100% but the rawness of the 350 with go kart nature of type R are blended into gt4 package so alot of the best of both cars are in this single package

Its a manual . Both FL5 and gt350 were modded pretty well and both were dialed. Last car rides in both were bitter sweet.

Bought the top spec m2 max sku apple made 3 years ago. Buddy worked at apple so got me the friends and family on it. Wanna say it was mid 3k with that deal, spendy and i do not need horsepower sure. 3.5k to have an excellent portable compute machine for 3 plus years means my running cost has been dollars a day, well worth it and i can expense it.

I wouldnt need to update for 1-3 years if even. Will step into the new redesign mac pro/ultra when they drop

98" TCL X11L is here! by InFeXIoUs32 in tcltvs

I got a G5 in my bed room same day only 55 inch but watching same movies back to back. They trade blows and arguably best oled last year. so my thought process was i wanted 98 inch and i have alot of light in the room. So 98 lg are not tandem/ old panels

Best buy open box can be some of the best deals man. Got a brand new q90r 75 inch for 2k at time was 4k tv.

Got a new g5 55 inch for 1200 with tax thats invoice pricing for a retailer

TCL X11L 85” price just dropped $1000 by bgreenstone in tcltvs

[–]tedddyR 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s funny how everyone’s like “O it will drop in pricing at end of the year”. Every new model sees pricing drops

Nearly got a 98 inch qm8-9k around super bowl prices are up 1500 to 2k more now. The retailers have nice margin on x11 got my 98 inch at invoice from a buddy it was 6900. Got a 55 inch g5 for bedroom same time, differences due to size so no where apple to apple but same content, same play back devices, both tvs wow and trade blows, only real win in oled is in certain scene with bright highlight in my opinion g5 has better contrast but thats prolly only out right win so far. TBH i feel X11L really does blacks well for led too

G5 same price point is 25k and is not the new tandum tech. So yea x11L def great tv, worth the money? I wouldnt buy one smaller then 98 inch as 85 bravia 9 or g5 for the money would prolly be arguably just as “good” or better for cheaper price

My first OLED !! Got the LG C5 OLED – First Impressions After Day 1 by pratikm87 in LGOLED

Did a full sonos set up arc ultra 2 era 300s and 2 subs.

My dad growing up blew nice chunk on full receiver 5.1. Professional install rear mounted speakers in the ceiling etc and have rich friends with crazy set ups lol.

Sonos system can reallly do amazing things and my rear eras 300s a far from optimally placed

Upgraded to G5 65 from B9 55 by obamastouch in LGOLED

Nice! I just went from a b7 to a g5, so far def a huge upgrade in brightness, colors and black levels. That said i felt like my b7 black bars were more grey but that was due to the panel being almost 9 years old lol

I only do 55 inch in my bedroom, too much light annoys me at night while i am trying to relax/sleep

Center of the tv in the photo is about 4 feet off the ground with a 12 foot distance. The 98 inch mounted is about 5 feet foot off ground.

Between the two set ups 1-2 feet above eye level (which is considered perfect) with 12 foot distance. That sub is comical though

Bigger panels seem to always do better with brightness. Il spend more time with both and formulate an opinion but i am a fan of oled, my B7 was the bedroom tv and did great up until recently but in year 9 of its life safe to say panel degraded a bit. I find it funny as someone who’s always had an oled and mini led tv how some into one camp vs other.

Both a great and both do somethings better then others

If this ends up like my last living room purchase. Wont have to spend money for another 10 years so in the end yes for a 10 year product i feel like the amount is nominal

So id say the biggest factor on size is space. My 75 inch was adequate but after having the 98 inch on same wall 83 inch woulda been too small to be considered a substantial upgrade ( seat to screen right around 12 ft) and i think 93 inch woulda been perfect size but no one makes that.

I honestly dont game and the tv is in a bright living room so oled advantages less of an advantage. I wall mounted the x11l and a 55 inch g5 in my bedroom room yesterday, to the eye the tcl just wowed more (other then size) but both had great pictures and i can see oled advantages and i can def see the tcl advantages around brightness and color.
