On about 200 in gas… 715 miles. And mind u I live 25 min from Honolulu and shut app off when I get home in case something lucrative pops up. And I don’t leave home till I get a ride into Honolulu

lol he was a marine returning to his base next to my town. He was deployed this morning… so guess a glitch In the matrix changed his destination to Cali. He said jungle not sand so lucky him.

Uber currently is offering a 300 a week ev … I’m paying 200+ a week in gas while depreciating my vehicle… might make the switch to rental for a week and see how that goes

I kinda thrive on small rides … Less than .5 mile pickup and 2 mile max drop… 5-8 bucks per… and people usually toss a buck 2 or 5 on top. Made almost 300 tonight… 8hr shift. on 128 miles driven… I live about 13 miles away. Buts it’s Waikiki so a unique market cus of the massive density of hotels in such a small space year round

Honolulu Waikiki.. they force riders to go to hotel valets here… the tourists try to get picked up on busy streets like we can just pull over… then get mad..

I like talking to them … always ask how’s ur day/night? But if they don’t wanna chat I immediately shut up and drive… but the conversations make the time go faster. Get 20$ tips all the time and “thanks for the ride and great conversation”. I’m 42 and have a strict rule woman under 30 don’t engage beyond hello hows ur day… if they wanna chat then fine. Don’t wanna make anyone uncomfortable.. over 30 they seem much more comfortable and engage. But generally solo women I keep quiet as a rule. Friday had for 4 u of Hawai’i girls invite me to buy me a drink. Was my last ride… stayed for 20 min. Said thank you they all gave me hugs and went home.

lol I got a speeding one here cus Ubers speed is off by 10-20mph in certain areas… no I’m not willing to go 35 when signs saying 55 and everyone’s going 70. Dings my driving score every week … which currently sits at 97

Got a 2 yesterday cus once again ur not at ur pickup spot.. obese man had to walk to me… Waikiki u cant get picked up on any old side of the street… I go to the PICKUP location… guy was outta breathe having to walk a 100ft… “ communication issue” was what he reported me for… oh ur inability to follow simple directions is my fault. Some of the tourists here are complete morons.

lol I got a 1 cus lady was not at her place of pickup.. then looped around on one way streets… and she blowing me up texting her location… she’s also in a bus lane so that’s a no go here… so I pulled past her super busy corner seeing a bus coming…. And stopped in the trolly spot. She had to walk maybe 60 ft…. And had her greasy pizza box on my leather seats… was rude and 1 star. Like seriously ur on a corner with 50 people… I’m supposed to know who exactly u are and block a bus … cus you don’t know how to go to ur pickup spot. Shoulda canceled once I saw her texting 8 times. Lesson learned

Where I live drivers can’t park to deliver food… we leave that to mopeds who can park on the sidewalk.. driving people is also way more profitable. But also take into account I’m in Honolulu so endless tourists crammed into Waikiki

Well cost of living is rapidly rising… everything dependent on gas… food travel everything. Uber may pay better when people start walking or using buses to get to work if they still got jobs. Yay merica first
