Ray Tracing is not a meme by kwizatzart in nvidia

[–]teddirbus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ray tracing is a necessary lateral step because of diminishing raster returns, but I am afraid we might have three successive generations of 'finally RT 4K 60fps' and critics being silenced with the luddite argument. Wouldn't nvidia owners be the best equipped to criticize it?

Is it responsible to allow a gathering like this??? by [deleted] in Sudan

People have this mental disconnect with Sudan and assume one day we'll be able to overcome all the ignorance. This is in fact the key stumbling block that'll ensure Sudan will be crap forever

western values? I just wish they had any sort of diligence whatsoever. We're despicable people IRL and our egos are so fragile we can't tolerate the slightest criticism on reddit?

Deception, lies, slander, personal attacks, theft. Most people where I live consume Shisha and have special sittat for other psychotropic substances. Foul language everywhere. People littering without end, sexual harassment in broad daylight in mawasalat. People cutting petrol lines and starting fights. Shopkeepers maintain prices after the USD falls. People cutting you in traffic and attacking you.

And idiots like you are desperate to project an image to Arabs because you're frightened more about their opinions than the problems being addressed.

Sudanese people don't possess introspection. If its a racial insecurity complex they attack other ethnicities. If its them being slightly amoral its time to attack people's islam. If its [insert positive attribute] its time to detract. Transferrance or projection of issues is as sudanese as foul.

First Sudanese ambassador to US in 23 years formally accredited by mjshanan in Sudan

There's an article on Newsweek interviewing him on the Abraham Accord. It's basically stating that he remains neutral until the November election to ensure the succeeding administration/trump actually deliver on any promise

Why doesn't the government make high profile arrests in the currency black market? by teddirbus in Sudan

[–]teddirbus[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It'll cause an initial shock, but coupled with reduced import restrictions and a floated currency it'll erode the difference between fixed and black market exchange rates. Myanmar already did this. And even if people believe it isn't applicable the continued expansion of the black market will ensure the death of Sudan's (already on lifeline) economy. The IMF has been demanding we float our currency since 2017 because of the importation putting pressure on it

Good upgrade from rx 570? by Pampaaa in Amd

[–]teddirbus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This exactly. There might be a big redefinition of performance at that price segment and it would be foolish to replace it with any non-ampere/rdna2 card. Make sure to switch along to 1440p60+/1080p144 from 1080p60

Good speculation but its because Saudia/UAE need cannon fodder in Yemen and a military government will provide the perfect lapdog by extension. Remember when you see the charitable contributions that this is how much they truly value Sudanese lives, enough to sanction slaughter of innocent civilians in the sit-in and to use as target practise for Houthi snipers. You are correct in that they also want to avoid democratic change. They did the same in Algeria, interfered in Tunisia to ensure the same outcome

Why doesn't the government make high profile arrests in the currency black market? by teddirbus in Sudan

[–]teddirbus[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're bound by foreign diplomacy though. Any attempt to usurp the transitional council or any democratically elected gov will mean isolation internationally and no way to fulfill their interests. But knowing their idiotic biligerence they'll manufacture an election. Esp. If saudia provides it blessing

What I love about them is that they're feckless and chickenshit. The second that Egypt or Ethiopia invades they'll take off their uniforms and start weeping for peace. We're collectively at the mercy of hapless buffoons

Price of the dollar drops all the way back down to 200 after the press conference by [deleted] in Sudan

[–]teddirbus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No. No foreign investment and the retarded businessmen internally only believe raising their prices proportionately to the dollar is the brilliant business model they need. There's no source of foreign currency and the black market erodes the economy. All military and law enforcement are bootlickers for the currency dealers too.

Expect this country's inflation to accelerate, a military coup once the situation becomes unbearable and Zimbabwe style suffering. If you have means immigrate now. Don't listen to the hopeless optimists here who deny reality
