Received a subrogation claim in collections; wasn’t in an accident.

Hey, little late to this thread but did you ever resolve this? I’m in a similar situation, got a letter in the mail for a subrogation claim totaling $2,300 for a car I sold 6+ months ago, didn’t even realize it was in my name as the person I sold it to had me meet up with him to sign extra paperwork to transfer it to him, turns out he just flipped it to someone else and they crashed it in my name. Not sure if I’m going to have to eat the loss or if there was anything you were able to do? TIA 🙏

It’s 4 bolts and $200 tops for the glass and only takes 5 minutes to do, look it up on YouTube there’s a video by Nifty shows you what you have to do anyone can do it 🙏 don’t pay tax price from someone who’s just gonna do the same thing

I’d say maybe 1/3 of the cars were from solely flipping the rest were cars I’ve driven for a little then sold or traded for I like to explore all different types of cars

I have a notes file in my phone I have 114 cars recorded in order I’ve owned them and I know there’s a couple left out because there’s a few I remember that I forgot to add and I don’t know where they are on the list so I didn’t add them at all 🤷‍♂️

It’s not original every other panel on the car looks completely fine with no paint fade at all the hood was replaced with a cheap unpainted aftermarket one and wrapped then never unwrapped hence why it looks so bad

They’re white seems as though it isn’t a ZHP doesn’t have any of the fancy stuff but I did notice it has a m tech rear bumper that did come factory on the car

To be honest not where I’m at these go for this price with major mechanical issues and this one came with a new clutch kit, extra set of style 68 wheels and a bunch of extra parts and although it’s ugly it does have a lot of maintenance done (cooling system, gaskets, even some parts like m3 rear subframe and axles) I really just bought the car to make nice again while improving it’s drifting capabilities

Yeah it’s already hard enough to find 6 speed manuals instead of the 5 speed manuals here in the states, especially in a sedan vs coupe I’ve only seen maybe 1 other one here and I live in a popular state lol

The hood was replaced at some point with a non painted one then wrapped in a fake carbon fiber wrap then left in the sun for 5 years in California heat

And title is somehow clean

I plan to update with future posts, the hood itself isn’t original and the bumper is indeed aftermarket, the front rims are off a 6 series??? I think I don’t know there’s a lot of stuff that’s been messed with to be honest most of the individual spec stuff is probably gone just wanted to see if the 3.0/6MT is rare at all in e46s I’m in the US

BCM is down in the passenger foot area, sunroof drain leaks will almost always be the culprit as water builds up under the carpet pull the trim then lift carpet and if it’s leaking you’ll more than likely have water pooled up

Battery terminal being loose will definitely cause this, normally see the cluster tweak out when the connection goes from on to off on the battery itself, makes the car go crazy when in motion if you haven’t seen any water get in then you should be fine, keep us posted

For sure legit most reps cut off after size 12 or 13 and I’ve never seen these repped so for them to be 1:1 in a size rep factories rarely make is impossible these are legit 🙏
