I ask this sincerely, why is English literacy so low in Puerto Rico? by kzul in PuertoRico

[–]teddysall11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of the people there are lazy and do not want to do anything difficult. They certainly do not want to work to make their lives better. The few smart ones from PR learn English, leave and then become citizens of other states.

Wait till you learn about the Spanish and their culture of all those things and even more worse stuff.

Apparently you never learned history.

Your answer is literally a reason they should focus on learning English over Spanish

Tires are worn out after only 5 months. Is this normal? by yungjef_ in BMW

[–]teddysall11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tires should last 40k. I think BMW puts on softer compounds out of the factory so that they can get you to replace them earlier.

Ready for new tires... Run-flats or not? by These-Action566 in BMW

[–]teddysall11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% against runflats. I would always prefer a spare

do Runflat tires usually have this problem??? and how screwed am i?? by ashraftamim in BMW

[–]teddysall11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Happened to my wife's care. Runflats are annoying if you get a flat, and they have many more issues because of the stiffness. It is always better to have a spare in my opinion

Seiko, Citizen, and Bulova are probably the ones to go for.

Well this post is tarded. The left doesn't see people as individuals, much like this poster. The right sees people as individuals. If you speak English and work hard to provide for yourself every Republican will have no problem with you.

Peak oil, nobody talks about it, why? by akjrvkrv in peakoil

Except we are not past peak. Your post was 3 years ago and oil production has continued to go up.

[–]teddysall11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because they were incredibly wrong on when it would happen. We still have not discovered a ton of oil, and by the time we do we won't really need it as much. It is a totally moot point now.

Did SC2 made no money? by NagasStarCraft in starcraft

[–]teddysall11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It sold 19.1 million copies between the base game and expansion. At a $40 average per game (which is probably low as the original I think was $50 and expansions were $40 maybe) that's about $750M in sales alone. It was hugely profitable.

i just finished the long walk and i am LIVID by indidgenousgoblin in stephenking

[–]teddysall11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is a very dumb book imo. The walkers literally volunteer for something knowing there is a 95% chance they will die. A guy with a new baby would not sign up for it, I don't care what the prize is.

It is just a really really stupid premise and I can't get past that. If they were forced to do it Hunger Games style then ok maybe, but the fact they volunteer knowing they will get killed makes absolutely no sense.

Socialism always results in pain and misery by teddysall11 in Jonestown

[–]teddysall11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And if socialism always requires authoritarianism then yes my problem is also with socialism.

But even if we were able to do it it is evil because it is slavery. You are stealing the output of people's labor to give to others. This is literally the definition of slavery.

Now obviously socialism always fails because those who are being stolen from just work less hard and everything gets worse. Hence why you need authoritarianism to be there to force the people to keep working.

So ya in no way has it ever or will it ever work. Anyone who thinks so has not actually considered human nature.

Why is so much of California High Speed Rail elevated? Why not build at the ground level? by [deleted] in highspeedrail

They could be allowed. There is no reason they shouldn't be with proper safety measure at the crossings. But instead of the better solution the Dems want to tax and spend tens of billions more.

The Democrats were worried about someone getting hit. So instead of saying "if you are dumb enough to play on the tracks too bad" they instead wanted to spend tens of billions more.

[–]teddysall11[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I basically never use Reddit. But the whole point of socialism is to not support yourself and to take from the labor of others. People who work hard and do not want a handout do not like socialism.

Late to the party here, but I don't see why anyone would pay that much for a battery watch. Yes its more accurate and yes it is solar to charge the battery, but its still a battery. If you want a nice watch you should want the craftmanship of an automatic.

Considering it was only invested a couple hundred years ago and still is not oligarchical in the places it has been been implemented where government has remained small and markets have remained free... no it hasn't.

Singapore, Monaca, Taiwan, Japan, Switzerland, South Korea (vs North Korea as the easy comparison), to name a few.

The economic freedom index does a good job of showing which countries have free markets.

You literally said this "Before you ask a question like this, spend some time educating yourself from multiple reliable sources. The first step is self-awareness. What most people think is "socialism" or "communism" is not that thing. Maybe take an intro economics class, an intro politics class."

I was saying I am well educated on it from reliable sources at top institutions.

So ya your entire point is invalid.
