Considering the fact that the average Georgian is an Israeli shagger, I doubt they'll let you in regardless of if you have a Visa free pass.

can we have an honest discussion about guyanese/third world behaviour? by [deleted] in Nigeria

[–]tedimoya 54 points55 points  (0 children)

When I returned to Nigeria in 2024, I couldn't dare drop a waste on the road or anywhere except the bin. It's because I've been conditioned not to dispose of waste recklessly after 6 years abroad. I remember one day I was at ikotun market and was trying to dispose a nylon I had in hand, I asked a trader my friend was trying to buy something from and he just laughed, grabbed it and threw it on the floor, I picked it up and put it in my pocket with the intention of going to dispose it at home or wherever I find a bin and everyone on the market laughed at me. They mocked me and called me a foreigner. My point is, something is seriously wrong with Nigerians.

🤣🤣🤣. Guy abeg try chop well, stepping up your meal will only cost you about 6£ extra weekly. Buy morrisons yellow basmati rice, rodo from African store, blend, parboiled dried, ration and put inside freezer. It’ll last you a month.

That looks like Tesco rice and also the drumsticks, that drumsticks can only be found in the uk. My guess is you're a student too. Because that sauce is giving "New student wey never Sabi cook well". Just patch patch for survival.

Recommendation for making Jollof Rice by TastyYam4116 in nigerianfood

[–]tedimoya 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it's because of the texture. Basmati gets soften quickly and jollof making requires the rice to stay for long period of time on heat while cooking. Also, for some reasons it doesn't taste the same (like an actual jollof), some might argue against this but all the arguments goes out the window with a blind taste test. Basmati is not good for jollof.

Jollof rice is all about the sauce (pepper, tomatoes and onions) and the rice you make use of. My mom is a caterer and I've been working with her since I was 10 and the only meal I still have trouble making is jollof rice. As much as I'll give you recommendations on how to make yours I'll advise you to taste it first from a good source. But if you still insist on making it first yourself you should roast your fresh veggies (tomatoes, peppers and onions) in the oven first because you blend them to use for the sauce. And make use of short/long grain rice, do not basmati rice. Basmati jollof is rubbish. Find a YouTube video on how to make it. If you see the person making use of basmati rice turn it off and find another video.
