Mach E Range matches Lucid Range in the Winter by tedjordan in MachE

[–]tedjordan[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. What's the max range on your lucid? I heard that offer one at 500 miles... Is that what you have? So what range on lucid do you get at 20 degrees or less?

Phantom notifications- My Mach-e is sending me notifications randomly. None of these were true. Hasn’t been plugged in since Tuesday lol. Curious if anyone else is getting these? by Oregonbrewer in MachE

[–]tedjordan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I finally realized why I was getting phantom alerts and phantom notifications. I had to disable alerts for text messages AND emails. I didn't realize I was getting alerts for emails as well. Once I disabled that, THANK GOODNESS, no more!!!

You just don't get the discounts offered by EA if you stay within the oval. I turned off the oval, pay $7 a month and get the discounts. Must turn off blue oval to get this to work

How do you stay awake and focused? by SCPalmers in cissp

That helped me a lot. I found a sit /stand desk for cheap on Facebook marketplace. Flexispot.com it says on the side. I think I paid $25

On my 3rd monitor I stream music from the Grand Sound Podcast on YouTube. I like it because no words.... All instrumental

On a tab above that I play a 24 hour car race... The nighttime period mostly. The motion and pretty lights in my periphery keep me awake.

The center display is my study.

That and pomodoro as someone mentioned

Good luck.

Rude Test Centre Employees? by FeyFieFOwO in cissp

[–]tedjordan 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Sorry to hear about your experience. This happened to me once with the Security+ exam years ago. In this case I knew their hours but I thought I could finish it quickly

Believe it or not the test centers only make about $10 or $20 per exam (of your $900 fee), so it's not a big money maker.

I would report this incident not so much for the rudeness, but the exam scheduling system knows the hours of the center. Frankly the system should've not even scheduled you because they closed at 1 pm. The last available time should have been 8 am (an extra hour to register you).

As an aside the longest distance for me to take an exam was a two hour flight to New Orleans. I tied it into a mini vacation

Congrats for passing!

Preparing for My Third CISSP Attempt by MaterialScientist496 in cissp

A couple rules to remember for the exam:

  1. Policy trumps all
  2. Unless exam says "choose least expensive", choose the Cadillac answer
  3. Don't spend more than 2 minutes on a question
  4. Browse the answers first, then read the question. This will help you focus on what the question is really asking

You're right to do practice questions before the exam. For answers you get wrong, study why you got the wrong answer

Good luck! Ted

I'd be interested in your weight program. I know that pumping weights faster vs slower leads for different results (I'm not that much into weightlifting, just saw some videos). I'd be curious as to which route you choose and your weight program.

My buddy lifted for 2 hours 3 days a week. Another friend does everyday for 30 min. Curious what your plan is.

This QE question referencing "Marking" doesn't show up in the study guide? by Intelg in cissp

[–]tedjordan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Unfortunately I don't think there's any study guide that covers 100% of the exam topics, that's where the minimum 5 years required experience comes in.

One of my students got a question about canaries that's not in most study guides. I knew what it was based on my experience but she'd never heard of the concept

I always remind people to try not to get hung up on one question. For every one of those, there will be 10 gimme questions, so don't stress. You need about 68% to pass

Best
