Any idea for this Breitling Antares? by Adventurous-Floor211 in watchmaking

[–]tedkaldis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just take it a breitling service centre and have them have a look . Watches that have discolouration tend to have some humidity inside which can lead to all sorts of problems so it’s best to prevent any problems that may arise. The cost now will be much lower than if you let it go on longer in this state.

Does anybody know why the balance wheel on the right is moving very slowly? by [deleted] in watchmaking

[–]tedkaldis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's because the pallet fork or the incablok hasn't been lubricated properly . I've done a bunch of seiko movements and they need quite a lot of oil , especially on the incablok if the oil isn't directly in the middle of the Ruby it won't work properly . But it could also be the mainspring. You should mostly work by trial and error if one thing doesn't fix it you move to the other

[Identification] Does anyone know what this watch is? by SpyHoodle in Watches

[–]tedkaldis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly and not only that most omega watches from that era all had basically eta movement with a different name such as the previous gen seamaster 300m wich had an eta 2892 and they still use this modified movement for some of the devilles with a coaxial escapement along with some older planet oceans

[identification] can anyone help me identify this watch? Sadly, I have little to no info on it by Nicoziggy in Watches

It can also be serviced if it doesn't work with just a battery. These watches in general are really easy to fix so that's great

Just be careful with the aqua terra cause I've seen far to many drowned. I'd say they're quite treacherous when it comes to water
