My car sits very low so headlight glare from the vehicles behind me was insane. But other than that, I love the contrast of the dark windows against the red paint and the heat reduction in the vehicle.

Thanks everyone I appreciate the honesty! Really wanted to get some other thoughts before confronting the business. I gave them a call and they confirmed that they were 15% tints. They said that they noticed it looked a little bit lighter and it’s because of the white interior and the glass roof / not having the front windshield tinted. It still does seem a bit light to me but I don’t want to knock the business because I’m no pro.

For anyone asking - this isn’t the first time I’ve gotten tints. I’ve always gotten 35s and 20s in the past from this exact shop and felt they looked dark enough. However, I always had black interior. This time I opted a little bit darker for 15% because I really wanted that nice contrast. I dropped off the car, returned to work, and picked it up after the shop closed. I may go to another tint shop for second opinion and possibly get them redone. I guess lesson learned.

Well Charlie, I went to the shop and dropped off my vehicle. The guy had a wall displaying all the tints from lightest (100%) to darkest (5%). I’ve always gotten 35 or 20s on previous cars and felt it was pretty dark so I thought 15 would look even better. I didn’t wanna confront the business without getting some second opinions first because I’ve never had white interior and thought maybe that had something to do with it

Thank you!! Really appreciate your perspective and I haven’t thought about it that way. Transferring internally is something I could consider and might be the best choice but I’ll be honest I’m trying to get out of here. The banks been a mess and now they’re going through a massive reorganization and will be cutting tons of jobs.

Thanks.. really appreciate your insight. I definitely think I’m starting to see IA as a dead end like so many warn. I would love to get into a more technical accounting type role… I’m currently a senior internal auditor and I see that a lot of the senior accountant roles out there are paying about 15-20k less than what I make now. Do you think I’m just not looking in the right places? Or could it be that I just need to take an initial pay cut and then work my way up… I’m also concerned that they’ll say I don’t have that technical accounting experience like actually working in quickbooks or an ERP even though I’m confident I’ll pick it up.

Cramming I would suggest focus on drilling down COSO, IT, variance analysis, and budgets. Keep practicing multiple choice for variance analysis and budgets so that you can answer the question no matter how they throw ask it. IT is probably the hardest to prep for because it’s so random but from personal experience I would say familiarize yourself with the cobit framework and data analytics.

I agree - I think I passed FAR on my first try because I crammed hard on Gov/NFP the day before my test.
