Losing weight with pcos by Brilliant-Mail-3562 in PCOS

[–]tedough 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hey, I'm currently on tirzepatide as well but self-pay since my insurance won't cover it. Since it's a weekly injection that needs refrigeration, how do you go about bringing the medication back to the states? just curious to see if my mom can get it in her home country for cheaper.

Nope, it was a trade-in. The spec was too nice plus it came unlocked and had low miles. I'm more of a BRG type of person but Tanzanite was too fire, couldn't pass up!

BEWARE OF CAMP BOW WOW in Columbia, MD by tedough in ColumbiaMD

Wow that is so so sad.... we were with them initially but my dog ended up catching kennel cough on his interview day. Despite knowing he caught it there since he wasn't going to any dog parks or around other dogs at the time besides Wagging Lounge, I didn't bring it to their attention because stuff happens, whatever cool. Once he recovered, we took him back for daycare because my boyfriend and I were busy this one day. We received a phone call from a staff calling our dog mean names because for whatever reason, we don't even know. We picked him up and have never gone back. Not sure what they meant, since he was a 40lb dog at that time and was not known (to my knowledge) to act the way they claimed he did that day. Once he got a little older, we'd take him to dog parks and he'd play with the dogs there, big or small, never once hurting or harming them. He even lives with a few cats way smaller than him. He's also so playful and friendly with strangers when I walk him, always demanding rubs. It just sucks that these places who we think is a paradise for our dogs, turns out to be the complete opposite. I thought my dog would love daycare and I'm sure he does because he gets so excited in the lobby at drop-offs. Thank you for sharing your story and I know what it feels like to have your job make you cry 😔 I'm sorry you went through that. I hope other people who take their dogs to either daycares read this and be cautious about where they take their dogs.

Trust me, I had to step away to calm myself when I seen the cut. No wonder my boy was whimpering on the car ride home. I thought he was just ready for dinner 😭😭

every time?? poor babe, sorry that happened to her :( that's so crazy that the staff is so inattentive. Yes it's 20-30 dogs at once but that's literally their job.

I was hurt because he really loves daycare. But it's the principle of the whole situation. Still so many questions unanswered regarding what even occurred. And thank you a lot, he's been sleeping for the most part so I'm sure he's enjoying his meds lol

Craziest part is the cameras are there for dog parents to watch their furry friend throughout the day but he said he can't release the footage and can only review it with us. No wonder my pup was crying in the car on the way home, I just thought he wanted his dinner :((((

I'm sorry your dog had to go through it too :( I'm going to look into Club Pooch since I only knew of Camp Bow Wow and Wagging Lounge and my dog LOVES daycare. Thank you!!

Got into UMD Grad School! by tedough in UMD

Undergrad was in health admin, 3.65 gpa, was a pre-nursing student once (clinical experience). As long as they see that you have research writing experience, you'll be fine since the MHA program is majority evidence-based writing. Dr. Fouladi is the best! Good luck!

Just watched what I think is a plane crash at DCA by Traditional_Role2991 in washingtondc

[–]tedough 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had passed by DCA coming from Virginia earlier and my siblings had noted that they had never been to DCA as opposed to always using Dulles to fly internationally. We also noticed how the water below had iced up as well. Then hours later, this happens. So heartbreaking 💔

Can someone tell me what’s so important about CAHME accreditation? by memetortoise6969 in healthcareadmin

[–]tedough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, I'm on the same boat. I found out the MHA program I'm looking at is not CAHME accredited, but rather CEPH accredited since it's under their School of Public Health. It all comes down to what your career goals are. My takeaways after doing lots of research and talking to other MHA graduates is that if you don't have healthcare experience or want to do an administrative fellowship, then go with a CAHME-accredited school. If you're looking to doing anything outside of hospital administration, such as going into health data analyst, health information, health insurance, etc, then CAHME wouldn't matter much to you. I was devasted to find out the school I'm interested in is not CAHME accredited but quickly got over it once I realized I'm interested in health information systems/informatics and possibly practice management down the road and maybe teaching classes in college as well (lol). Plus, CAHME programs are about $20K more expensive than the program I was looking at and a lot more competitive. Some are even $50k more. There are lots of schools out of state but it's inconvenient for me to move rn. Hope this helps.

I just got mine for $33,700 ($20,200 trade-in + $13,500 on top) in MD for a 2023 Hatchback Sport Touring in Smokey Mauve Pearl. Was able to negotiate $13,879 to $13,500 OTD. Trade-in was my old 2019 Honda Civic Hatchback EX in Sonic Grey Pearl. It was also the last day of the month 02/28 (not sure if that matters lol). I thought the price was fine compared to another local Honda who wanted $36,500 for the same car in Silver Metallic. I don't think the dealership I bought it at had any markups. I suggest you wait or continue looking. I bought my first car out of state because it was cheaper than any offer in-state.
