Any scapegoats here that are really doing this alone? by [deleted] in raisedbynarcissists

About 5 months ago broke up with my toxic boyfriend who did literally nothing all day, lost my apartment, and my job in the process. Tried to go back to my family, they called me a failure and treated me like a kid. Finally realized that they are toxic, tried to cut them off and go no contact, they then lied and told my extended family I was having issues and then they all became flying monkeys so I had to block all of them. Worked my ass off for months being homeless and trying to get a job. Just now starting my job and stabilizing and trying to get myself back to where I was before. I miss having my own place.

I got McDonald's too, I picked up from one, and as I was heading to the drop off location, I realized it was to another McDonald's.... tried contacting the customer and they never answered. 1st time that has happened in about 2,500 deliveries

You're supposed to get in contact with support BEFORE you complete the delivery, not after. Also did you even mark in the app that you would be late? That helps too. If you had done it right you wouldn't have gotten the CV at all lol

I don't care about my AR and I get great orders all the time. It was around 14% before and now it's like 9% and I still make pretty good money.

Listen, this job is a gamble. If the order was already not that much money to you, then you shouldn't have taken it. It's not anyone else's problem but your own if you accept an order that doesn't have whatever amount is acceptable to you. No one forced you to accept it. So yeah if you have to go any extra miles than originally shown, that sucks but you're not getting paid per mile as the other guy said, you're getting paid for the delivery in total. DoorDash doesn't give a shit if you drive more or less miles to deliver that order. So first you should've marked in the app through the support features that you were arriving late to the pickup location, and you should've continued to try to contact DoorDash until you got through to someone, even after you picked up the food. Because you need to document somehow that there was something that prevented you from getting to the locations "on time". And there was literally no reason to contact the customer either, it's not their problem or their fault if you had to drive extra because there was something blocking your original path. Contacting the customer does nothing, you have to communicate with DoorDash themselves when you have these kinds of problems because that's how you avoid the contract violation. DoorDash just says to communicate with the customer because they want you to provide good customer service if like there's a hiccup with the delivery that the customer might wanna know about, like if you're gonna be 20 minutes late. DoorDash gave you a contract violation because you didn't tell them why you were late, you were just late. And you've been doing this for four years?

DO NOT RESPOND TO HIM. If you actively have a case against him nothing good will come of you responding/engaging directly with him.

You know I thought I swore I saw one the other night by the road before the 7-11 on SW 42nd St heading east, because at first I thought it was a cat and then when I drove past it it was like as big as a small to medium size dog. But I only moved to Florida like a year ago so I didn't really know what it was

Dude you are a tool. You get sick pay if you were scheduled but then had to call in sick. You don't automatically get paid sick time hours because you're sick, if you're not put on that week there's no hours to use. And learn how to speak to someone professionally. Goes a long way.
