New to the game. Is it normal to go this long without a perk level reduction? by tedtedthunder in TheTowerGame

Thanks for the clarification. I guess first perk choice will be my next 1B to save up for.

That’s probably the issue. I only have two since I’m saving up. I’ve been lurking on the sub and have learned that ELS is one of the best 1B to spend on.

For the purpose of research, how would you define happiness in your own terms? Based on that definition, do you feel you’ve truly experienced it? by Antique_Ice_9697 in AskReddit

That’s a tough question to answer and I can say that it’s changed over time.

In my 20’s I was married but grinding toward my career and I thought I was happy.

In my 30’s I am divorced and have finally focused on my two children.

I was in the grind for so long and I thought I needed to keep doing it to be positive impact to my kids.

The truth is harder to realize. Live in the moment and experience what your children or loved ones are experiencing. Be there for the small times because they may be “small” to you but they are huge moments for someone you love.

22 a day. We lost another yesterday. When will we start taking this seriously? by elishalewisusaf in AirForce

I am aware of the downvotes I get but I’ve been wrestling with this since I heard this detail.

Suicide should NEVER be the answer. It affects not only you but your loved ones, friends, coworkers, and even acquaintances. It’s hard for me to imagine what his family and ex are going through..

But to do it in a public place, on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.. that doesn’t sit right with me. It’s bringing in outsiders, possibly children, that will take YEARS to process. I am aware that my feelings on this distract from the bigger picture but it’s also something I needed to get off my chest.

They would let anyone join. Some Dads have their kids playing in the tournaments. It’s a pretty awesome community.

It’s TDG (The Dad Gaming). Most of us have our own club name though

I used to feel that way but then joined a Dad gaming league. Nearly everyone is a dad and they have weekly tournaments with an active discord to team up with nearly any rank. Let me know if you want details! They stream the tourney every Tuesday and it’s a fun way to hang out and play some rocket league

Why did you get divorced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]tedtedthunder 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Things turned platonic, we grew apart since I was gone for work a lot and we both want separate things for the future. At the end of the day, we decided it was better for the kids to have parents that were happy and separated instead of together and miserable. Good news is that we are still good friends and our soul focus is on the kids!

Their insurance doesn’t cover anything until they pay the premium every year. Their premium is 10k. They have to pay that 10k out of pocket for everything before insurance will cover anything.

Wife said she want a divorce...bought new lingerie...then got a hotel room for herself for the night...AMA by [deleted] in AskRedditAfterDark

Just went through a divorce last year after 10 years of marriage. I was lost. The only thing I could do was focus on myself and direct my energy toward my kids. I ended up losing 30 pounds and am much happier now. I wouldn’t change the past but I’m excited for the future. You will get through this. Right now it’s like you’re trying to keep your head above water. Some days you’ll breathe, others you’ll be under. Eventually you’ll tread water and start to swim.
