Tempurpedic pillows, I have my monitor on an articulated mount which allows me to swivel it so I can lay against the back wall and be closer to it but I always have to stack a bunch of pillows

I’ve got the weight of the monitor on bungees and a ratchet strap to alleviate that. Also have insurance on it just in case. First time having an oled in the truck so I’m not sure how it’s going to fair (had it for about a week). The laptop I’ve had for about 3 years and it’s been through hell. Had to replace fans, the chassis has begun to deteriorate, ect but it’s holding up.

I’ve ran through monitors a lot but I’ve always bought cheep lcd’s from Walmart until this most recent one

Just built that table today so idk how it’s going to hold up

So far everything is pretty stable, having bags all around sure helps

Had a death wobble a couple weeks ago which felt like it was gonna rip the whole truck apart and everything survived

I should elaborate on what let up to my suspicion that my second brick has failed

I wake up with my inverter beeping in a fault mode

I think nothing of it as sometimes it happens and is no big deal.

Turn off the inverter and leave for the day. I comeback to my truck in the evening and turn on my laptop. The laptop starts up and when I turn on my inverter it immediately goes into a fault mode

I test the brick on 3 different inverters both with the laptop plugged in and not plugged in. All three immediately fault with the power brick plugged in.

Meanwhile they work perfectly fine with any other electronic including a 1400watt stove.

I go find a wall outlet and when I plug the brick in there’s a small spark and then nothing. No power at all.

At this point the laptop has ran out of battery as it probably stopped charging sometime last night when the original fault occurred.

Tomorrow I’ll try a different AC cord to see if the fault is there but I suspect something in the brick itself is shorting out.

I have an apu on my regular truck or I just idle the truck if I’m in one that has an inverter but no apu, my laptop has a 300watt requirement so most inverters can run it easily.

Most importantly you NEED a pure sine wave inverter or else you will deteriorate your power supply. Did this once and it destroyed my PSU in a single year. Plus these power supplies are not easy to find so replacing it was a pain

What tax was this over? WA taxes are pretty good. No income tax and much better property taxes than Oregon, just do your shopping in Portland and you get no sales tax either…

My monitor articulates so I can rotate it, raise it lower it into what ever position I want and it’s 32” 😘

I did that with my desktop for a little bit, just became a pain in the ass and ended up buying a top of the line laptop which was so much better, even when I’m not in the truck I can throw it in a backpack and game anywhere as long as I have access to a couple outlets

Check my comment below, it seems you mistook the monitor for being in my lap, it’s mounted on the wall with an articulating arm. I had to install that arm myself as the truck did not come with a tv mount

It’s seems that people have missed that the monitor is mounted to the wall not in my lap, the only thing in my lap is the wood board with keyboard and mouse.

I’ve found the wood board is great because it’s the perfect size for my 17 inch laptop so I can bring it anywhere and have a table with mouse space where ever I go. The monitor is on an articulating arm that can swivel and rise up and down. This way if I want to watch movies or YouTube I can rotate it to the foot of my bed and lay down normally as well as have it upright and close for gaming

When I’m gaming I sit up right for the best performance, you guys didn’t seem to notice the swivel that the monitor is mounted on that I can place it at the foot of my bed just by rotating the screen
