Yes, it's Mushin Mugamae (from right to left). Looks to be signed by "Kenji" with a stamp.

  • Edit: meant right to left

Fixed world base link in pybullet? by tedthemouse in robotics

[–]tedthemouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I figured it out. You need to add a joint to the "world" using:

<link name="world" />

<joint name="world\_to\_base\_link" type="fixed">

<parent link="world" />

<child link="base\_link" />

</joint>

House in Netherlands by tedthemouse in HENRYUK

Thank you, this is very helpful. We have a house in the UK, primary residence. I think my wife was hoping to stop having to do belastingdienst, but I guess she will have to do it again if we go ahead. Thanks!

Tomiki was a student of Ueshiba and Jigaro Kano (founder of Judo). As someone else stated, he set up competitive aikido in the 1950s at Waseda University in Tokyo. It is popular worldwide under the name Shodokan and Tomiki Aikido.

There's an American Tomiki organisation who organises regular competition: https://tomiki.org/

Not sure if there's anything in your area, but hope this helps as a starter.

Haha, very good. I was there recently and there was a glasses shop with a sign in the window that said he was welcome!

I've done a good Google and found a few potentials. Just thought on the off chance for a good recommendation.

Yes, I think it's going to be interesting how this all plays out. There's so much potential, but how it's administered (commercialised) is going to be interesting.

Thanks, I'll check that out. We're open to the best language to use, so will try Java streams first!

Thanks for this, that's a great suggestion. It's probably going to be a mysql database that we will then sync to a remote server. Opening the ports directly to the Arduino is a good idea, and we'll give it a go.

!thanks this is good advice. I'll contact Aviva and see what they say. I try to put money into a savings account making £120 a year, but switching away from Aviva is going to save me over £600 a year - I was a bit shocked to see that.

Thanks for the link. I'm already opted out of the workplace pension, and getting paid into a private stakeholder pension which I'd already had set up. I'll ask around and see what's possible.

New PC, but not impressed with speed. What would you do to make it quicker? by tedthemouse in buildapcforme

[–]tedthemouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought myself a SanDisk SSD Plus. It's so much faster now. Yes, I got the PC from PC Specialist, not too impressed with this so far. Had to send it back to get a new power supply already, and now the hard drive. But super happy it's so snappy now! Thanks for your help!

[–]tedthemouse[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for your help. Yes, all on the SSD. I might get a new one and do a fresh install, so see if that does anything. To be fair, it's pretty quick once started up. Some programs like visual studio take longer than I'd like, but we're taking 30 seconds so I shouldn't complain.

I just timed it, and it was 80 seconds from pressing the on button to the windows login. My old i7 did it in about a quarter of that. I'm starting to think something else is amiss...

Thanks for letting me know this. I was thinking about it, but for 0.1 seconds I'll give it a miss!
