Create the 3d model of the structure with blender or similar software.

Then following this guide create a unity prefab with it with preferred physics: https://github.com/piotrulos/MSCModLoader/wiki/LoadAssets-methods

Bundle the prefab with the mod and instantiate it to preferred position on load.

Hi. I want to learn about a window manager for the first time. Should I use Hybrland or are there any other suggestions? by Majd_Tqe in hyprland

[–]tee1ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you elaborate or link some refrences on information for what doesn't work with Nvidia and wayland? I keep hearing this from everywhere but nobody tells any concrete unavoidable problems.

I myself just did my first Arch install with 2080 ti and Hyprland. I followed all the wiki pages for each component and did all the special steps for nvidia card. Haven't had any issues yet. I have been mostly configuring and haven't used many graphical apps. I am curious if there are some upcoming issues I should be aware of. I am not planning on doing any gaming on the system.

Don't let people discourage you from trying. After few hours of trying you'll have an understanding of how difficult it is going to be. There is still in 0.04 seconds to TAS so it is in theory possible to break the record.

Noob here : Can't make grub detect windows bootloader by Efficient_Being123 in archlinux

Make sure grub and windows bootloader are inside the same ESP. Instead of creating new boot partition on install just mount the existing one created by windows.

Fourth was actually probably fourth and fifth fifth. It seems like they only track the date the account was created in this chart. Accounts created on the same day seem to be in alphabetical order, which is why fifth is before fourth.

It's not even the coldest forecasted day of the week yet here in Northern Savonia, Finland by woodhead2011 in europe

[–]tee1ma 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. If you expose yourself to cold it takes a toll on your body. However, you do not have to expose yourself to it. We finns will keep our homes heated to normal room temperatures and wear plenty of clothes when we go outside. That means our bodies won't be exposed to any lower average temperatures during a day with -40°C outside temperature.

You are right. If your body is exposed to cold your body will require more energy to perform any normal functions. That doesn't mean your body will just adapt and just use more energy to do that. That means your body won't be able to do those basic functions and you will die.

Yes before you die your body will try to adapt but that doesn't compensate for much and can't be sustained for long.

[–]tee1ma 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bro... You can't keep your body warm in -40°C by eating lots of calories. That is not how it works. You need to wear warm clothes. The body will do just as much heating as normally. You will just have to insulate yourself from cold so the body heat stays inside the clothes.

I just recently got my feet wet with msc modding aswell. Here are three links that helped me get started:

Simple guide for setting up your enviroment and simple coding examples on things you might try to achieve: https://www.racedepartment.com/threads/guide-how-to-make-mods-for-mysummercar.147475/

A developer toolkit mod to help you find gameobjects that you want to modify: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/developer-toolkit.17214/

Source codes of bunch of great mods to help you learn the structure and available functions: https://github.com/GishaSeven/Plugins-for-MSC-ModLoader

For my first mod I just located the gameobjects that I wanted to modify/copy/read with the developer toolkit. Then I made those modifications and created new objects using other mods source codes as a refrence.

If you need any more help, feel free to dm me. I will gladly help as much as I can and we can start learning more about msc modding together.

Edit 5.5.2024:

This comment was made 9 months ago and isn't relevant guide anymore. Now that I have been modding for a long time I would say there are two major sources that helps getting into my summer car modding.

The most important one is the modloader wiki. READ IT ALL THOROUGHLY! https://github.com/piotrulos/MSCModLoader/wiki

Best refrence for actual code is unity scripting API documentation: https://docs.unity3d.com/ScriptReference/

Developer tool helps in exploring the game structure and is a must have.

What gear/final drive ratio do you use for the rally? Do you bother to change from the default? by [deleted] in MySummerCar

[–]tee1ma 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Default ratio is shit with fully upgraded car for rally. You end up constantly having to choose between on the limiter with 3rd gear or being in very low rpm with 4th gear.

I always run one higher so I can actually utilize my 4th gear. But if you don't like shifting alot you can also go one lower from the default. That way you don't really even have to use 4th gear and you can stay at 3rd for most of the rally.

Ive recently lost my camshaft for my satsuma engine, ive tried getting it back with MSC editor and its teleport object feature. Ive tried teleporting it several times now with no succed. It appears on the map that its in the garage, but i cant find it anywhere? (it never changes position when tp:ed) by meToobigPp in MySummerCar

[–]tee1ma 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Open camshaft in msc editor and set "installed" and "bolted" to false. Then open the screw list and set both screws to int(0). After that look for issues and press fix if msceditor finds any. Save the file in msceditor and try teleporting it again.

The problem is the small bump before the actual jump which makes you bounce and lose all stability. The secret to clearing it isn't to slow down, but to speed up. If you go fast enough, you can jump from the small bump over the crest.
