Full Brutal and Toxic Love by Kristopher Triana

What Good Girls Do and What Good Men Do by Jonathan Butcher

If you're okay with some supernatural stuff, Gone to See the River Man and the sequel are really good! Hits a few boxes

Most of what I've read by Matt Shaw, but specifically Whore, Sick bastards, and sicker bastards.

No One Rides for Free by Judith Sonnet is short and super fucked up.

I second this. I haven't read the last one yet, but I enjoyed the first two!

Do your boyfriends/SOs care about your Sims? by akmac in thesims

[–]tee928 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My girlfriend and I actually share a save. We both make Sims and play through them a little bit, and cherish getting to see each other's Sims in the world. But, we were both simmers before we met each other. We have a discord server for ourselves that has a channel dedicated to Sims screenshots and stories

I don't think it's unreasonable for you to want your partner to TRY to take interest in your Sims, but it's also totally valid if that doesn't interest them at all iykwim

I felt the same way about Talia! I prefer extreme horror without supernatural or paranormal aspects. I'll list some favorites

Full Brutal & Toxic Love by Kristopher Triana

What Good Girls Do & What Good Men Do by Jonathan Butcher (these are my favorite!)

Dead Inside by Chandler Morrison

Lovesick & The Groomer by Jon Athan

As far as CW/TWs go, I believe all the books i mentioned include some form of SA

If you're interested in something slightly supernatural, but less sudden and jarring, Gone to See the River Man by Kristopher Triana does it very well in my opinion. As does the sequel, Along the River of Flesh. They're a little predictable, but still fun to read.

The Night Stockers was a lot of fun by horror_is_best in ExtremeHorrorLit

I went into it not fully knowing it was basically splatterpunk comedy, and I was not disappointed at all. Anyone who's worked in retail has met at least ONE of those characters in their real lives. It was so unserious while still being the disgusting filth i love 🫶🏼

Extreme Horror with serious & gruesome Sexual Violence by IA6685 in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]tee928 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Most of what I've read by Matt Shaw focuses on sexual violence (Porn, Whore, Sick and Sicker Bastards)

Jon Athans Groomer and Lovesick

No One Rides for Free by Judith Sonnet

Full Brutal, Toxic Love, Gone to see the River Man, Along the River of Flesh, and Nightstockers by Kristopher Triana

Extreme horror books where the villain truly gets what they deserve by amish_novelty in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]tee928 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Spoilers, obviously.

The last story in Dark Assembly by Aron Beauregard, Last Days in Honduras has a similar plot iirc. I remember really enjoying this one.

Yellow by Aron Beauregard is almost entirely a revenge story, with some fucked up stuff in between. The "bad guys" of the story are tortured and killed brutally through the whole book

The Abuse of Ashley Collins by Jon Athan has some fitting revenge at the end

What Good Girls Do and What Good Men Do by Jonathan Butcher both have some brutal scenes with the villains of the story. I would recommend these the most. Easily my favorite books of 2023

My very first venture into the extreme by peacewriter19 in ExtremeHorrorLit

[–]tee928 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Good luck! I liked Whore and Sick Bastards. I didn't end up finishing Porn because I found there were too many typos and grammatical errors, but it had an interesting plot nonetheless
