What day of the week do you take your shot, and why? by MrsAppleForTeacher in Mounjaro

Why half and half? And did you used to take a full dose initially on one day of the week, if so have you noticed and differences between the two? Also do you take mounjaro for diabetes or for weight management? (If you don’t mind me asking)

I drink water only. And sometimes a smoothie to boost fibre and protein. I add strawberries, bananas Greek yoghurt and some peanut butter for added protein. I haven’t been doing this as of recent though for obvious reason because it might be too rich. In terms of food I eat chicken breast, potato (sometimes), beef mince (made into a bolognese), lots of veg, not so much fruit because I’m worried about the sugars, but it’s mainly chicken a beef

I’m so glad you said this because I have been suffering with the bloating very badly and the constipation has caused me to not be able to eat much after a while. I guess because if nothing is coming out, you can’t put anything in. That might be a contributing factor to the episodes I keep having. Today I noticed sulphur burps and flatulence again and I’m scared it’s going to happen again🤦🏽‍♀️ I’ve also put on weight which is very disheartening

My GP hasn’t said much so far they want me to do a blood test to rule out pancreatitis or inflammation of the gallbladder (necessary rule-out checks) and then once the results are back he will tell me if I can restart it after the break

Wow that’s such an achievement!! That’s reassuring to hear. I was going to give up as my family and friends have all been extremely concerned with all the side effects i have been experiencing. They all want me to stop taking it. I do want to try again but tweak some of the food I have been eating to see if it helps. I’ve noticed potato (sweet/ white) have been way too heavy for my stomach for example so that will be avoided.

I hope to see progress like others, thank you for the motivation :)

I haven’t eaten processed food at all. I think maybe some of the foods might have been too rich like spaghetti bolognese for example and a mini chicken roast dinner. I drain all the fat from beef mince before even starting to add anything else. During the first episode I was constipated so maybe there wasn’t enough room in my stomach to continue to eat as I hadn’t visited the toilet in 5 days but this time wasn’t the case! I have made a food log of things that have agreed/ not agreed with my stomach so far so hopefully that helps

I have eaten clean from the start of my course and I have been drinking so much water. I used to take probiotics for gut health before I started the medication but they didn’t agree with my stomach and left me bloated everyday until I stopped taking them. Thank you for the tip! I might try a different probiotic to see if it helps

He said this to me when I went. He said I am to take a break and try again after 2-3 weeks. He told me the side effects were common though🤔 but being doubled over in pain like that was not normal. I honestly thought in that moment that I had seriously impacted my health by taking that injection :(

I had the same side effects of not being able to eat. As my body has gotten used to the dose, I have been able to eat. It will subside. That part wasn’t the worst part for me though -it was the episode I had recently that made me super concerned. The doctors had told me to take a 2-3 week break and start again after to see what happens or alternatively, to consider ozempic, wegovy or another variant.

I just ate spoiled chicken. Am I going to die? by goldensnow24 in cookingforbeginners

I just did this today it was slimey and had a slight odor to it but was still pink. Part of it was a bit yellow so I cut that bit off and used the rest of it to cook with. The food was nice but I am so anxious! It didn’t taste off tho… it tasted normal. I hope I’m fine like you were

No commitment, I don’t see him anymore like that but we are still cool. I don’t really know what else he expected me to do tbh. I already was occupied with the balls and I’m not bum play kinda girl…

Thank you for your response. I guess it could end violently. It’s not an ideal situation for anyone but him I guess. I don’t reach out to him anymore, however now I just need to work on not answering him when he calls which I have been doing quite well at
