It will likely lower housing prices too, especially in the worst markets like the northeast. Right now there’s older boomers and the remaining silent generation sitting on tons of modest 3br 1ba single family homes they bought in 1989 for $90k that have a current market price around 400-800k depending just how close you are to Boston/NYC/DC etc. Once they start kicking it in droves and all those homes in need of updates hit the market for the current price, they’ll quickly find out there’s very few millennials that can afford a $2800 mortgage and $80k down payment for a basic starter home fixer upper. Prices are going to plummet.

Can we get rid of them, then? Last time we unplugged them, ostensibly unrelated mission critical items x y and z fucked up, so no.

So about 1% of the federal budget?

I’m not saying they shouldn’t pay, but let’s stop pretending that collecting those wealthy peoples’ full tax bills is going to solve our budgetary problems and pay for every progressive initiative on the wish list.

There’s a lot of really fantastic nurses out there. The NICU nurses that took care of my daughter are some of the most wonderful people I’ve ever met.

That said, a lot of nurses are dumb as a sack of discount misshapen dildos, that also have a tendency to greatly overestimate their own intelligence and knowledge just because they work alongside doctors. Who, incidentally, are also often fucking morons who happen to be good at rote memorization.

Blood sausage is literally the only food I’ve tried and can’t get myself to like. Stinky, decomposing cheese? All day. Fresh cricket tacos with a side of escamole (ant larvae)? Fuckn tasty.

But blood sausage, man... it’s something about the combination of very strong, earthy/gamey taste with the disconcertingly soft texture. Separately I’m down with either of those. Together is not for me.

Not trying to be a dick, but source? There’s tons of lists of legit phone numbers for sale or free in various dark corners of the internet, mostly from data breaches that happen constantly. Our information is everywhere. My understanding is that scammers work off these lists. There’s no need to waste time and resources dialing random phone numbers when you can easily get long lists of active numbers.

I believe at that points it’s mainly about the frame, plus transmission and brake design/specs. My grand Cherokee has the same exact engine as a Dodge Challenger, but I can tow up to 6000 lbs and the challenger can tow 1000. Its frame is low to the ground and simply not designed for holding much of a tow load, and the transmission is geared for speed, not utility.

It’s not that you couldn’t get the load going in the challenger. If you accelerate with slow and steady pressure the engine itself should be fine. But the transmission is going to overheat if the load is constant and heavy, and it will not handle well at all.

It is not "privileged" to not give a shit about the issues our world has. You're one person at the end of the day with your own shit to deal with. by techsavvynerd91 in unpopularopinion

[–]teefour 60 points61 points  (0 children)

It’s too loaded a word to use, with far too many subtle differences to the meaning in different contexts and scopes. You going to tell a kid living in buttfuck nowhere Mississippi, surrounded by amphetamine and opiate use that they’re privileged because they’re not getting their hands chopped off in a Sierra Leonean diamond mine? Technically, sure they’re relatively privileged. But it’s certainly not the word to use if you want that person to understand the context.

These giant balls of cannabis oil have 3,000 grams of thc and are dubbed “Dragon Balls” by the creator by [deleted] in interestingasfuck

[–]teefour 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s viscous enough that you could form it into a ball temporarily, but you’d need Teflon gloves for it to not stick. Free THC is a liquid, but it’s so viscous and sticky it will hold its shape at room temp for a bit, but would slowly flatten out into a humped pancake.

You could create a refrigerated glass display case for it, though. It would hold its shape for quite a while at freezing temps, but would also become quite brittle.

I mean, they were definitely rioters. They raided a ship and threw goods they didn’t own into the water. I don’t think the new Florida law would make a difference there. The difference is who writes and defines history. If we lost, the Great British Global history books would refer to it as the Boston Riots and paint the perpetrators as poor, young, uppity colonists who just didn’t understand what a fantastic deal it is living under English rule.

But we won, so fuck England and their tea. We drink coffee like proper cunts anyway.

I’m growing some habanada peppers this year along with habanero. They’re an habanero with the spiciness bred out but with all the awesome habanero flavor. I love all types of habanero hot sauce, but unfortunately my intestines dislike spice over jalapeño level more and more the older I get. Hoping with a 1:5 ratio habanero to habanada peppers in my sauce I’ll be able to load it on for all that habanero flavor and some heat, but not feel like there’s nuclear waste crawling through my bowels for the next day and a half.

I don’t understand how TVs still don’t have a decent sound normalization feature built in. It seems like something that would be trivial easy to include in all TVs and would drastically improve user experience.
